I am using my bottle of Clark Shaving Company shaver cleaning solution with an IPX7 waterproof wet and dry shaver that Braun did not make. The cleaning solution is working perfectly with this shaver. Who knew the relatively large amount of residual that resides in an often-used shaver head.The two best things about the Clark cleaner are that it is nicely priced and it is effective. The fragrance is difficult to describe – lemony and soapy. I tried to better discern the smell of the cleaner but when I received a strong whiff of alcohol, I decided to end this scent identification process … besides the scent does not linger after the cleaning process is complete.I appreciate that the folks at Clark make this product in the USA.

This cleaner definitely leaves my shaver sharp and clean every time I use it. The 32 oz bottle is a great size — it’s supposed to last up to a year and can refill up to six cartridges, so it’s been really convenient. It works perfectly with my cartridges, but I also put some in a spray bottle to clean other razor heads, and it works just as well. My wife uses the spray bottle to clean her razors too, so we’re both getting a lot of use out of it. The formula is alcohol-based with a light lemon scent and is designed to remove hair, skin oils, and buildup, keeping everything performing like new longer It’s also gentle on the skin and doesn’t have any harsh chemicals. I really like that it’s made in the USA and keeps all our shavers feeling fresh and ready to go.

This cleans really well--it breaks down oily grime that tends to stick up the works, resulting in a smoother, easier shave that demands less power from the battery. If you have a Braun-style cleaning and storage pod/container, this works perfect with those, but it can be used on its own in a little tub to hold the liquid. Since it is a solvent, it is easy to clean as it really does break down grime. Very simple to use.If you are shopping, I would observe that the ingredients are only alcohol and fragrance, so for the price, it is a pretty luxurious way to buy alcohol. It does smell nice. But I don't think I would purchase this again simply because I don't see the advantage of this particular product over its active ingredient.At the same time, if you are looking at the Braun line of cartridge fluid, this blows that option out of the water with its value. So the real value hierarchy looks like OTC alcohol, this Clark's fluid, and then other options that are more expensive on the bottom. So you can do worse than this.Tip: Since the alcohol strips away oil from your clippers, it seems essential to re-oil after cleaning to prevent rust.

I use a Braun electric shaver to keep my facial peach fuzz at a minimum and legs smooth. The feature I love about my razor is that it came with a clean and renew automatic cleaner and charger set up. Once the cleaning solution gets dirty, I just dump out the old one and pour this into the existing container. This is so much more value than getting the individual cartridges filled with alcohol. It feels exactly like the OEM ones where the shaver is more smooth and easier to cut after being cleaned with this solution!

Works very well on my series 7 base unit. The solution perfectly replaced the original solution that came with the unit. Keeps my shaver clean and has no issues with either the base unit or the shaver. Smallish bottle, but good for several refills. Very worthwhile to keep the cleaning function of the base unit intact.

The "32oz Shaver Cleaning Solution & Easy Refill" is a good economical solution to keep your shaver clean. Compared to the option of buying cartridges, this is so much better. It is easy to just empty the old cartridge, when it is dark with hair and then pour this in. Now I am more generous in my cleaning cycle.I wish this had come with a small funnel as it tends to spill when filling up the cartridge.I had not issues with my sensitive skin but this product is not best smelling compared to the OEM. It was not a fresh lemon scent but that is small issue.

I used to buy the original Braun cleaning cartridges—until I found this. It’s much more affordable and works just as well at keeping my shaver clean.One helpful tip: keep the plug or cap from your original Braun cartridge. Since I don’t shave every day, I was losing a lot of cleaning solution to evaporation. Now, after each cleaning cycle, I remove the cartridge and reseal it with the original plug. It prevents evaporation and helps the solution last much longer.While you can’t fully close the base with the plug in place, the shaver can still rest in it without issue. As for performance, I honestly can’t tell any difference between this solution and Braun’s.
