I got two of these for my kids, and one of them broke before we started playing with it. Sent it back, got a replacement. They work fine and are fun while they last, but for the price they're pretty flimsy. Surprisingly, the first thing that broke was the remote control. The battery lasts maybe 15 mins, bought an extra pack of them to rotate charging vs. playing. But as my kid noted, it takes 2 hrs to charge, 15 mins to drain.

I bought 2 of these. One stopped working after the second time playing with it.Also, The battery only last a few minutes. You have to unscrew back every time to charge it. It’s a pain.

Cheap and broke the first day my son used it. It was fun while it lasted. My son dropped the remote and it broke in half. That’s how cheap the plastic is on this toy.

this car looked nice online, but when we got it home, it wouldn't even roll over the grass, let alone go over rocks as it advertised. unfortunately, we missed the window to return the product, but would not recommend to others who are looking to take this remote controlled car outdoors - it won't work!

Interestingly, the listing info on this item is almost verbatim of the last RC car I reviewed for another brand. The remote is exactly the same. The car body is somewhat different but according to the info, is made exactly the same as the other.This one, however, is 4 wheel drive, which does make it substantially better than the other.- It says "rubber tires". Then "semi-pneumatic tires". Then goes on to call them made from PVC. PVC is not rubber and doesn't need air.- Got very hot during the single time it worked- Arrived with quite a bit of cosmetic damage due to poor packagingIt's light and flimsy. The remote is even more flimsy (it requires 3 AAA batteries that do not come with). Took 4 hrs to charge and got a tad over 10 mins use. This product arrived in a box that had obviously been opened before and was covered with scotch tape that seemed very hastily applied. It was broken before I ever had a chance to use it. There was no padding inside the product box to keep the toy from moving around. It sounded like a box of broken glass when I picked it up. Various cheap, plastic pieces had broken off the vehicle and controller.The truck itself comes with a single, rechargeable battery, but the controller requires 3 AAA Alkaline batteries (not included). The controller is made out of such thin, cheap plastic that it feels like it is going to be crushed just by picking it up. This thing would not survive 10 minutes in the hands of kids. The box and instructions are in barely readable English (and Chinese and Arabic) and comes with some dire warnings such as, "Please stop charge the battery if nobody could care it. For example: midnight. As long time charging for the battery will make it overheat then cause dangers."There is NO WAY I am plugging this thing into my wall when even the manufacturer admins that it is dangerous to leave plugged in! The rechargeable battery quite obviously had no overcharge protection which is absolutely ridiculous. The electronics required to keep batteries from over-charging literally only cost a few cents.The product has no FCC certification, which is legally required of ALL radio emitting devices sold in the United States. I have no idea how these devices were smuggled through customs, but Amazon should not allow these devices to be sold since they can possibly cause interference with radios and other radio controlled devices. With as cheaply as this product is made, I have no doubt that they cut corners when it comes to following specs regarding radio interference.To sum it up, this used piece of junk is not safe to use and the only reason that is allowed to be sold on Amazon is because some customs inspector wasn't doing his job when these were unloaded off the boat from China.

The TOYEN GordVE GV005 Remote Control Car is a blast to play with and it can go over some rather difficult terrain. It was no match for tall grass, however - the grass would get wound up in the wheels almost immediately and had to be manually cleaned out. But rocks, pebbles, carpet, rugs... it handled most terrain like a champion.The largest disappointment is with the battery life. We could get about 15 minutes of run time out of a fully charged battery. And there is no way to charge the battery without using a phillips head screwdriver to remove the battery compartment cover. And then it takes about 3 hours to charge back up! So taking this car to the park could be a short lived experience.It does have thin die-cast metal plates on the roof, sides, and hood, but most of this car is made out of plastic. I'd still consider this a high quality build though - it has rubber tires, independent suspension and shock system, and even the plastic is reasonably reinforced. It looks and performs nice, so for a toy in this price range we are pleased.Overall, I'd suggest picking up a couple of more batteries for this device at least. It's certainly fun while it last. The steering is responsive enough also, but don't expect to be dodging in and out of cones with this thing. You can turn it appropriately to avoid obstacles, but the precision is somewhat lacking. But over rocks and hills this thing is a blast. Recommended.
