Bat monitoring
Outstanding device that captures bat echolocation and displays species. We are using these as a citizen science project to ascertain what bats we have in our county.

Affordable high quality!
Great, affordable unit. A great supplement to my Anabat units. Only downside is that I have to remove my phone’s case to use it, which can be stressful on job sites.

Detects bats for sure
This little device definitely detects bats' echolocation noises. It seems to be more directional than I was expecting and because you have it plugged into your smartphone or tablet, you need to have that device oriented correctly in order for it to be most effective. The app that works with this is okay but it's not great at identifying the correct species. There are some settings in the app that may help, though. For the price point of this device, it's hard to complain. The professional bat detectors are phenomenally expensive and they don't work with your smartphone like this thing does.

Fails to detect on Galaxy Note 10+
Hardware fails to update firmware, so it does not work Galaxy Note 10, though all permissions were given. Software runs, but it doesn't link well or at all to the microphone. Touch2. So, I am very glad I did not pay for the product, I signed it out from a library technology booth.It looks like it could work well, with one exception, the microphone has a very small reception cone, so unless it's super sensitive, then it is not useful unless you are pointing it at some bats.The waveform and playback is straightforward yet perhaps too simplistic. It could do what it was designed for but it doesn't function in my device. I will try it out in two other devices and see if it works.

I think it works but not sure
This product is easy to use but it’s tracking ability doesn’t go very far. I live about 200 feet from a forested area on the water. Either there are no bats there or the device can’t detect that far away. I looking forward to taking it to other areas to test it out there.
