Fellowes 4600201 19 Litre Cross Cut Desk Side Shredder

Very pleased with this shredder. It seems quite tough and able to do the job well. From a personal point of view, on our last shredder - we were able to put even very small pieces of paper into the feeder for the cutter to start. But, probably for health and safety reasons, on this model, you have to insert a big enough piece of paper to enable the feeder to grip the paper for it to pass through, otherwise the motor keeps going until you 'do' something, like press reverse, or pass another bigger piece of paper into the slot to enable the unit to grip sufficiently to continue shredding. But don't let that put you off, it's a very good unit.

The top weighs a fair amount and the bottom doesn’t seem quite sturdy enough for it but love the shredding confidence, it can take multiple sheets and does what I need it to do without being super loud

I bought this shredder because It states it has a capacity of 10 sheets. Using 80 gsm paper ( common type) it jams if more than 6 sheets are fed in. I contacted fellows who said it had a capacity of 9 sheets of 80 gsm and 10 sheets of 70 gsm. Don’t be misled by these claims - it doesn’t !

Very quiet in operation, and effective under reasonable loading -but the prevention of overloading does not work reliably. Given the convenience of the waste removal, and the apparent quality of manufacture it justifies its price premium for home use - but don't rely on the automatic stop - it can still jam, if overloaded.

Does what it says on the box. I was surprised by the flimsy feel of the frame and drawer. All of the safety features are effective.

Very happy with this machine, does the job

A brilliant and well made shedder would recomend it for home and office use, Fellows have a great product with this.

This was a present for my husband. He was delighted with it, it is sturdy and steady with rounded corners, and it worked perfectly for him.
