Strong pump, leaky valve
We have geese and use this filter to help keep their small pond clean. At a rated 580 gph it pumps ample volume to keep up with the birds. If you've ever heard the term like "**** through a goose", I can tell you, it is an apt term. In any case the pump is strong and does seem to pump a good volume of water. There is a diverter valve that has to be used directly after the pump outlet in order for any of the other fittings to connect and the shut off to the diverter leaks. Not a big deal unless you really need water coming through only one outlet. The packaging was less than optimal and took a little while to gather all of the little balls and put them back in the filter box. Also, there was ample room inside the filter box to add additional bio balls so I added a bunch of small balls to increase the filtering capacity. The solar panel does run the pump even in partial sun, though at a reduced rate, but still pumps a good amount of water. Good design, strong pump, may need a bit of tweaking to suit your needs.

Great Filter/Pump Even Better Customer Service
I bought this filter to replace a smaller one that wasn't very efficient. I put it all together, trying to get the lid on was a bit trying, but I managed, put it in the water, plugged it into the solar panels, and nothing. I took it out of the water, took it all apart, and started over, still nothing, I trouble shot and watched you tube videos, and still nothing. Called customer service number, they were very friendly and efficient. Said someone would be in touch in 24 hours. They sent an email, I sent them the model I bought, told them I did all the trouble shooting, and still nothing. So they sent out a new one. I received it today. Put it together and plugged it in, kept my fingers crossed 🤞🏻, and it worked. So far so good. Can't talk about the efficiency of it or if it will last over time, but for now, I am happy. If your on the fence about purchasing this filter/pump, do it. POPOSOAP has great customer service, excellent communication, and they back their product. I ordered the battery Backup for the solar panels, but haven't received it yet.

Ridiculously under powered
Ridiculously under powered. Brackets to hold up panels not in box. Returned it.

Solar pond kit has plenty of power
I like that the single seventy watt panel feeds a brushless pump rated at 580 GPH, enough for roughly 1,100 gallon ponds. The all-in-one box arrives preloaded with pads and bio-balls, so both debris and dissolved waste get tackled without extra plumbing. A telescoping riser reaching thirty nine inches plus a diverter valve splits flow between a fountain and a small waterfall. Quiet operation and a simple two-week rinse routine keep upkeep low while sunlight covers the energy bill.

Game-Changer for Algae Control—No Electricity Needed!
Pond upkeep used to feel like a never-ending chore for my husband. Every morning, he’d spend hours clearing out algae, only to find it had taken over again by dinnertime. With the long summer days up here in the north, it felt like we were fighting a losing battle. We tried using chemicals, but we’re very conscious about keeping our fish and visiting wildlife happy, so we didn’t want to overdo it. Plus, running electricity to the pond wasn’t an option because of where it’s located—talk about tricky! Enter this solar pump filter and fountain: our absolute lifesaver! By adding more aeration, it’s helped keep the algae under control, and it feels like the ecosystem has found its groove again. My husband now only needs to do a bit of maintenance on weekends and can actually relax during the week. He’s thrilled with the results, and honestly, seeing him so happy makes me just as excited about it.

easy to use
It's so convenient to run entirely on solar power. As long as there is enough sunlight, the fountain can work normally, the water flow is stable, and the water becomes much clearer. The built-in filter is pretty good, and the koi in my pond look more lively than before. The flow rate is enough for a medium-sized pond like mine, and the sound is quite healing. The adjustable diverter valve design is also very practical. You can adjust the direction of the water flow according to your needs, and it can be used with waterfalls or other water features. But I have to remind you that when it is cloudy or the sun is not strong, the power of the water pump will be significantly weakened, the fountain will become not so high, and sometimes it will even stop, so it is still quite dependent on sunlight.

easy to use
I installed it in the koi pond in my backyard and it feels very good. First of all, it is solar-powered, so there is no need to pull wires or worry about electricity bills. It can run automatically when there is sunlight during the day, which is really worry-free. The flow rate of 580GPH is completely sufficient for a medium-sized fish pond like mine. The water flow is much clearer and the fish are obviously more active. The filter is designed quite reasonably and can effectively block impurities in the water. It is also easy to clean. It is also equipped with an adjustable diverter valve, which can control the direction of the water flow as needed. I connected one part to the fountain head and another part to the small waterfall, which looks very waterscape effect.

Nice Setup
This is a rather nice setup for an off-grid water feature. It comes with several types of biofilter media for a lot of filtration. Three to be exact. It does not come with any charcoal type filters, but three different types is a good amount. It pumps quite a bit of water to just run on the solar panels it comes with. The pump is rather strong in this regard. I like that it comes with 3 different types of fountain features so that I can change them out from time to time as I get bored. One of my favorite features, however is the water diversion so you can supply water to other water features like a rock waterfall for example. Overall, I think this is a worth while pump/filtration/waterfall.
