I bought the cheapest scart connector i could find just because i wanted to connect my cheap dvd player to my cheap (and old) tv. I neglected to read the other reviews before hand, which isn't usually like me.When i received the product it was straight out of the packet and into the back of the units. I tried to put the first one in with a little difficulty and realised about 3 or 4 pins were bent to the side. I bent them back into place which was quite easy and proceeded to plug them in. Although only one end had bent pins, both were a very snug fit and required almost forcing the connector into the socket.Poor manufacturing aside, the picture and sound are better than i expected for such a cheap product. I won't be unplugging it very much at all, until i upgrade my tv at which point i'll most likely bin the scart system completely!If you want something cheap and cheerful and you don't mind 'altering' it to fit then here's your product.

These have to be the very best buy of the century!These cost a fortune in your local Electronics Store and are really no better in quality. These are dirt cheap and work perfectly!!I purchased two of these to replace the expensive ones I'd purchased that I'd always had problems with. I see a few other Buyers have had difficulties with bent pins and so on, but mine were absolutely fine! Just lucky I guess, but at this price, it really is worth taking the risk and stocking up!ADVICE ON CONNECTING: When connecting; push in GENTLY with very little force ALL THE WAY - wriggle plug, ever so slightly from side to side on its way in. This way the pins don't get bent on their way in if not truly aligned but straighten themselves on entry. Also; use a 'Multi Scart Connector' (again - a 'cheapo' one - do not pay the earth for a brand name) and so because there's no need to keep removing them from their sockets - they should last indefinitely!Absolute BARGAIN!

Scart to Scart cable (universal standard), 1.5m (approx), plated contacts. Worth three stars for that. +1 star for value as just over £3 including delivery, at time of writing. Bargain!If you're ever going to need Scart long term, I'd suggest stocking up on these as sooner or later they'll be getting scarcer as HD def standards like HDMI, DVI, etc. take over more. It may be a long time (if ever during my lifetime) before SCART becomes completely obsolete, but it will become less common and therefore maybe more relatively expensive to budget for.

i cannot give 5 stars as the item in question is part of a christmas present and i haven't used it,but it does look better then the standard Scart lead

Needed a scart connection to analogue tv,worked as it should.
