ET18 Gold Tester

I just received the Mizar gold tester. It is easy to use but tests all gold at 10K when I know it is 14K or 18K. Now, I guess I'm stuck with it because the box says it's not returnable after being used. I deal in estate jewelry and this tester is of no value to me.

Works well and super easy. Bought the scratch pad and tester drops at the same time. This is way better and easier to use... threw the others out.

It changes and not consistant with the findings.Happy enough to keep it and for the money worth the price

I used it and it is easy to use, tests are simple once you use it the first time. Good and farly priced.

Customer service is the worstTester doesn’t go any higher than 10 karat, even if the product is higher than 10 karatI reached out to the company all they seemed to care about was a restocking fee. Why would you restock a defective product? I just wanted a product that worked I didn’t ask for my money backI know for a fact I have 18 and 22 karat personal items because I had the made specially for meSo I tried them out as a tester & it said 10 karat.So the fact that they’re willing to put a defective product back on the shelf explains why I have a defective product. That’s what they do. They resell defective products.

I wanted this for shows and to test gold at auctions and yard sales. Issue is you have to add chemicals to it to get it to work and if precious metals, the seller certainly does not want me to attach an alligator clip to their item to test it. So doing a test where I just want to see results is not happening especially when I have to pull out two bottles of chemicals to mix together to make it work. Setting it up in front of the person who I don't want to know they are actually selling me gold instead of a trinket like they presently think, is not a plus. They see its gold and the price goes up. Just to difficult to hide or do discreetly and not letting them see whether gold or not is not a plus. If just using at home, a great item.

warning: box says not returnable after using. I tried it and it is terrible. Gives false readings. Says everything is either not gold or 10K gold It even says stuff is 10K gold when I know for a fact that it is just metal. WASTE OF MONEY Seriously. Do not buy this.
