Better than I expected for the price.
5 stars based on the quality for the price, if this was a $500 projector I would have given it 1 star and sent it back.I was half expecting to try this out and be disappointed and have to send it back, but for the price I am pleasantly surprised. Not as nice as higher end projectors, but for the price I wouldn't expect it to be. I plan to use this for karaoke, so the minor quality issues aren't a problem for what I am using it for. Would not use this for my home theater, but would be great for a dorm room or outdoor projecting.Pros:- Good light output - may not be full 2500 lumens but it's close.- compact - small, lightweight & portable.- Runs cool - you can feel heat coming out of the fan vents, but it's cool to the touch. I'm not worried about waiting for it to cool before putting it away.- Decent volume - again wouldn't use for home theater or large groups, but for a few people in a garage or dorm room it would be great.- Resolution - would prefer 1080p, but it's a lot better than other projectors in this price range.Cons- No leveling adjustments - if it's not the right angle to project on your screen, you will need to put something under it to adjust the angle or use an adjustable mount. I plan on mounting it so it's not a problem for me but could be for others.- Tripod mount - it has a threaded recess for a tripod mount, but it's at the front so the weight is unbalanced.- Fan noise - it's a little louder than I would prefer, but unless you are next to it, you probably won't notice or care.- Keystone - the keystone adjustment is optical and affects the focus. Not a big deal for what I'm using it for but a little annoying.- Case - have to write a review to get a free case, would have preferred it be included.Included photos of the included mouse pad, mounting points and ports.

Great color reproduction
This projector has a clean design and the remote buttons are glow in the dark, which is an unusual but interesting on a remote for a projector. Speaker quality is good but not the best. Being a small, portable projector, the speaker lacks of enough power for a mid size room but it features an auxiliary port for external speakers. The colors are well reproduced and despite being a 720p output, the pixels are barely noticeable unless you're close. One thing I liked about this projector is that the corners are very focused compared to other projectors which only focuses on the middle and the top, bottom or corners are a bit foggy. What I really didn't liked about this projector is that due to a big gap on the tripod port, it's not able to adapt to a normal tripod. It needs to be on a flat surface or if it's going to be used with a tripod, it has to be with a tripod table which can be found on Amazon itself. Regarding the cooling of this projector, it's well ventilated and it doesn't get too hot.

Compared to a quality Projector with the same Lumens
The pictures tell half the story since the larger (Mits)ubishi 2200 Lumens projector put out such a brighter image than the (POY)ANK 2200 Lumens projector did. The pictures can not show the true difference so I will fill in the information that the images can not convey.I realize this is a much cheaper projector but there is too much misinformation out there to figure out what you are actually buying with the projector. Not only that but this is being sold as a 2200 Lumens projector and should actually be that. It is NOT.The first two images show at least the contrast difference. I had a dim light on in the room and it completely washed out the image for the Poy projector(first picture). The Mits unit was so much brighter it changed the shutter speed of the camera and you can no longer see the dim light on the first screen. This rock face was from a trip I had just been on so it was fresh in my mind. The Mits image was so bright I felt as if I was there again. It felt like the image was at high noon. The Poy image was dim even if I turned the light out in the room. It felt like it was very cloudy out and the sun was starting to go down. That is what my pictures are not showing. The Native resolution of the Mits unit was 1024/768. The Native resolution of the Poy unit was supposed to be 1280/720. Although this is possible the Mits unit was clearly sharper.(This is not a "Short Throw projector.)Would I watch movies on this in my living room? Probably not. a cheap large LED TV is much better IMO. I found this projector deficient enough that it discouraged me from using it.Last picture of both projectors with the POYANK on top.I would guess it is about a 700 Lumens unit at best.Pros: A good projector for kids.Cons: Not a serious contender for watching movies at home.Harry Siebert

Good image, easy set up. Revised downward. No warranty. Needed.
Revision:There is no warranty on this projector. Using external speakers ultimately failed. The audio output connector became intermittent. The representative was polite, and sent me a complimentary screen. She could do nothing about repairing or replacing the projector. She suggested I buy another unit. Not going to happen. As a visual-only projector, it is good. This projector is exactly what it says it was: a good image with an easy set up. My source is HDMI from an Nvidia K1 Shield tablet. The audio is weak, but I didn't buy it for that, using external powered speakers. According to the manual, it does not support Dolby. I selected this for its image resolution and a good price. It really seems to have a 720p image, which is very sharp at the recommended distance (1.5-2 m). The keystone adjustment works. You can compress the image over a narrow range (75-100%). There is some fan noise, but not loud. It has a 1/4-20 threaded insert on the bottom that allows mounting on a standard camera tripod. Good for a temporary set up. The manual is weak, addressing multiple models, none well. Fortunately the set up is so obvious you don't need it, but the menu is not supported very well. You have to blunder along to figure it out. Sort of like a Microsoft product. I recommend this product.
