A Very Positive Experience.
I was a pack-and-a-half a day smoker and was a smoker for more than 30 years. Over the years, I tried other methods to quit smoking, with limited success, but eventually, I always returned to cigarette. After seeing my doctor and discussing and requesting Chantix, I quit smoking after my seventh day of taking the medication. That was six days ago. Here's what I've experienced thus far:I developed slight headaches during the first several days of taking the medicine, but a couple of aspirin seemed to take care of them well. I take the pill with a little food although I've not developed any nausea when I've taken it with just water on an empty stomach.During the first week, I felt a little edgy and/or cranky about an hour after taking the medicine, but that was easy to recognize and 100% controllable. The "cranky" spells have passed and I feel normal as I continue to take the medicine. Please note that Chantix is not a "magic" pill, but it certainly, without a doubt, makes craving for cigarettes all but disappear. The cravings that I have had are mild and the pattern is around habits and not addiction, such as with morning coffee, the morning drive, usual break times at work, after eating, etc' etc. - If I have a cigarette craving around one of those times, I simply do something else to break that habit. I go get water or chew sugar-free gum or take a 5 minute walk. My cravings have been mild and very short lived.I understand the importance of reading reviews, but I suggest reading up on both negative side-effects as well as POSITIVE reports by people who, like me, seemingly don't have any of the negative effects people tend to fear so much. Talk with your doctor. Everyone is different and may react differently.I have to say that my experience has been overall fantastic and I am a bit surprised how easy it has been to give up the smokes.

I quit!
I quit smoking on the first day. I tried for 20 years without medicine. This medicine is the real deal.

Bad stuff.
Be sure to research this before you take it. My son took it and it caused depression that never goes away. I tried to get him not to take it because when I researched it I learned it affects the pleasure center and the effect cannot be reversed. Bad stuff in my opinion.
