Nice hearing amp
I had a sudden hearing loss in the middle range. I have tried two other units, one was an in the canal and one was a BTE with the hollow tube going to the canal. I thought since I can hear sounds fairly well from our Roku unit using a set of ear buds I'd try an RIC hearing unit. It pretty much did the trick. There are a few draw backs to this one. The volume switch doesn't let you know when you reach max volume only when you have reached minimum volume so if you try to turn it to max volume you get to guess if you have reached it. The second thing that I don't care for is the domes. They are not quite as comfortable as the other two hearing aids I tried plus I would have liked to use a closed dome. I'm not sure why but I do get some feed back when I go to make an adjustment to the volume and I feel it's because of the open dome plus if I cover the open dome with my finger it causes the volume to increase and cuts off background noise which to me is a better option. I have tried all three sizes of domes to compare fit and feel and ended up using the middle size. Even with it being a rechargeable unit it is pretty light weight to the point that I sometimes forget that I'm wearing it. It's still not perfect but it's a nice unit that makes life just a little better especially when you don't have to keep say "What did you say" when someone speaks to you. I also like the fact that once you set it, wear it, turn it off and then turn it back on again it remains on the last setting you used it at. The last one I purchased every time you turned it off and turned it back on it stared up on program 1 and volume 4 so you would have to reset it to what you needed to hear with. Maybe someday they will make a few improvements to this one like duel microphones, from what I read a better volume switch, some better ear domes and a sound that lets you know when you have reached max volume. I haven't been able to understand why these manufactures can't get the same quality sound out of their hearing aids that you can get out of a $7 pair of cheap ear buds but maybe some day.

Pretty good until they quit working
Bought one of these in May of 2019. Inserting the charge cord just gives a flash of red light and then nothing. Cannot charge it. I went to the ZyonLabs LLC webpage and did a contact message a couple of weeks ago and nothing. Hard to recommend something when it quit working and the company ignores you.Cannot find the "Zyon labs, LLC" website and it appears that I may have actually contacted "Zyon Technologies, LLC" website and who knows if they are the same. I liked this hearing aid until it quit working and CANNOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY THIS. I see Zyon Labs LLC responds to reviews but if there is no way to contact them plan on buying a new one every few months as it appears that their WARRANTY DOES NOT EXIST.I prefer to contact a company direct but if a contact cannot be found, one must deal with it in a review like this.UPDATE: I did finally find a way to send them back and after a week or so they were returned in working order. I guess their warranty does exist.

Good for the cost
First of all, I think this product is worth the money. Its volume is good, no problem with the charge lasting all day and would recomment it as a low end hearing aid that will save you money. The shortcomings? Its a little on the large size compared to others which has caused me a few problems since I'm on the phone alot. Its seems to want to squeeze out from behind my ear when on the phone or at other times since I wear glasses. The biggest downfall for me is the feedback. My volume is about half way but everytime I scratch my head or adjust my glasses I get quite alot of squeeling which can be somewhat annoying. Also feedback when listening to music on TV or radio. Certain notes or tones will set it off. Would I recomment it? Yes, if you want a low cost product that helps your hearing. Only if its worth the somewhat annoying feedbacks .

Perfect
I am 80 yrs old and after working as a chef for 40 yrs my hearing has diminished. I had a hearing test with loss of hearing in both ears with the left ear being the worst. Because I am an introvert and don't have much social life I decided to test an amplifier and not spend thousands on a hearing aid. Yesterday was the second day I wore it out and about. It was amazing I could hear clearly and did not once say "please speak up, I have a hearing problem". I may be old but I am still vain and even with my short hair the device was perfectly hidden by my small ear. Before trying this I was turning down invitations by my family because I could not hear in a crowd of 14 people no matter how much I love them. Never again thanks to this inexpensive little jewel. It is simple to work and has changed my life. Thank you Zyon for this wonderful product.

Gave it a 3
While I had high Hope's for this to work, I gave it a 3 because it did deliver big sound and have multi settings which were noticeable. I didnt notice much background noise being drowned out and some times at a restaurant I would have to continually adjust the volume. The waitstaff would be clearing tables near me and about blow my ear drum. It was great for at home watching TV but if the dog barked it wasnt good! It was great while shopping for the most part. I was moving buttons so often it ended up falling out.

Not sure of my 3-star rating
I tried the Zyon, Janijian, and Laiwen amplifiers. All three gave me only modest benefit because I hear OK in most situations. I got more feedback from Janijian and Zyon that Laiwan, but I suspect that was due to my ineptness as a novice with respect to hearing amplifiers. I kept the Laiwen because of the lower price and more convenient control of volume with a wheel instead of a rocker switch on the Zyon and Janijian. I left a slightly longer review under the Janijian page.
