Is this difficult to remove? Is there a good chance of damaging either the drive or port during removal? What is the warranty for this drive?

It's easier to remove for smaller hands. You can gently use needle nose pliers if needed. No damaging of ports the few times I've inserted/removed. No details on warranty. Also, ships directly from China and may take a few weeks to come in.

How do you attach a lanyard or strap to it?

You can’t. I leave it in the USB port. Tight fit.
