Decent Product
I think there is a lot of misconception for this product so I hope to clear up a few aspects with my experiences with this product. First, it is important to note that it is a 20% dark tint--this means that it will let through 80% light. I point this out because I used this product to tint my headlights --it only creates a slightly darker "smokey" look to the headlights and this level of tint will not likely get you in trouble with law enforcement nor does it impair the brightness of your headlights at night to any great extent (in my opinion anyway). It does enhance the look of the vehicle. I applied this product to an 05 Acura and an 01 Lexus.Secondly, many comments relate to the application of this product. Whether you are tinting headlights or vehicle windows, this can be a tricky process. I strongly suggest that before you attempt to apply this product, you should watch some "how to apply window tint" videos on YouTube or you are going to be VERY disappointed. Use LOTS of the soapy solution which can you make yourself with dishwashing soap and using an old spray bottle (or you can purchase the window tint solution in a spray bottle if you prefer not to make it yourself). It is imperative that you TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE PATIENT when you apply the tint. For headlights, I used a small quantity of masking tape to hold the tint to the headlights while I traced around the perimeter of the headlights with a Sharpie (or any felt marker will do). Once you trace around it, cut it out with a pair of scissors. The tint has an easily removable plastic film side--you want this side of the tint to be facing outwards when you trace around it or you will end up with a "backwards" cutout. You will need some flexible plastic tools to smooth out the film and remove air bubbles. You will see how this is done on the youtube videos. Having access to a heatgun is also benefical for the edges--especially for headlights. If you are a beginner to the tint process I strongly suggest that you purchase two rolls of tint in case you mess up (and again watch the youtube videos). This is an excellent product if you are prepared and know what you are doing! Good luck!

Do not waste your money.
It was horrible. It was packaged in a roll, which caused it to stick to itself and make many permanent creases. The tint is also not half as dark as it was advertised. And on top of that, it was not 4 feet long. It was more like 3. So I had one and a half lights of wrinkly brown tint on my car. I ripped the tint off and I am not going to purchase this again.

!!You MUST use heat and soapy water!! You'll get really good results with this material if you put in the time and effort.
This product works fine as long as you use heat, and a little bit of soapy water. (He used Johnson + Johnsons) I had a friend install it. He's been applying automotive vinyl to cars for about the last two years. He complained a LOT because I didn't buy the significantly more expensive Oracal vinyl. Told him to stop whining, and the end result is really great! I've ordered and had him install both the "Golden Yellow" tint, as well as this 20% smoke tint. This tint is what you want if you're looking for darkened, but not blacked-out headlights. A few issues I've seen people bring up - - This product DOES pull off cleanly. You need to be sure to apply heat before you go to pull it off. Next thing - The tint comes to you in sort of a tightly wound "fruit roll up" form. Heat it up! Smooth it out. Problem solved. Here are some general tips for installation, which I picked up after watching friend go through this like three times:Flatten/smooth out the "shipping folds"/kinks in the vinyl using a hair dryer or heat gun. Doesn't have to be perfectly smooth, you'll get the rest of it out later. Just don't want it curling back in on itself.Test fit and do a rough cut that will give you enough overlap to cover as much of the lens as you have access to.Make sure the headlight is totally smooth, cleaned off. (I spent a few hours using a 3M headlight polishing kit prior to install)Give the clean headlight maybe 2 quick spritzes of soapy water.Peel the protective film backing off of the vinyl, spray even more soapy water onto the exposed adhesive.Just slap it on, start working out bubbles and squeegeeing out soapy waterOnce you've gotten most of the larger bubbles, you should peel off the second protective film layer.Start using the hair dryer, and your squeegee tool. Work more of the soapy water out, form the vinyl to the contours of the lens as best you can.You may find yourself with a few small bubbles that you can not work out. You'll need to puncture the vinyl to let it out. Only needs to be a pinprick. Friend used the tip of a fresh x-acto blade.Just go very slowly. Take your time. Buy a couple of rolls in case you screw up (they're dirt cheap!)

With previous experience this is EASY! GREAT PRODUCT!!
This is great product for the price! If you have done vinyl application before then this will be the same. THE KEY IS HEAT!!!!! I used a hair dryer and it was SO MUCH easier with the heat. The heat is a must to avoid wrinkles and bubbles through out the area covered. The edges, especially curved edges, need extra heat to melt it a little to give a smooth curved application. This is the perfect percentage for tail lights if you don't want to go super obviously illegal. Tail lights and head lights CAN NOT be tinted in most states, so this is nice because it darkens them to a nice smokey red and look SWEET! I have done ALOT of window tint and vinyl application before so this wasn't to hard to do with 2 people. I wouldn't do this without AT LEAST one other person. In my photos one is in the dark with just a running light not the brake. The other is just a cloudy day no running light on.

Not too bad
If your reading this PAY ATTENTION. If you own a Honda CR-V, you have to buy 2 rolls! because I thought one roll would be enough, The Honda CR-V have long vertical taillights! I highly recommend you do some research to install, I must of have watched 3 videos to get great advice, tips and pointers which came in handy! Price wise I ended up finding similar tint for a lower price after the fact ,and thicker tint material as well. But Overall Not to bad for my first time installing!!
