Easy to use versatile USB zoom camera
The camera is very simple to use. I tried it on a Windows laptop and it really was plug and play. I didn't have to install anything. After plugging in the USB, the camera was listed in the Windows camera app and was available to take pictures or video. The manual focus is not difficult to use. There are mini screws that can be hand loosened to be able to rotate and adjust the lens zoom feature, light (aperture) and focus. In certain situations it could be very helpful to be able to control these features rather than be stuck with a strictly auto focus lens. The build seems heavy and durable. It screws in easily to a tripod. I could see this camera being very helpful for photos or video of close up objects.

Fine camera, just work the lens rings to loosen lubrication before first use
Solidly built, Windows plug and play USB camera, with a long sturdy cable. Works as advertised.MINOR issues that are very easy to deal with:1. No instruction sheet provided. If you have used a Windows camera, you will be able to use this as it is Plug and Play with Windows.2. There are two images in the product description that are not consistent with respect to the control rings. You will be able to figure this out. The inner ring on my camera, which they refer to as "clarity" is the focus ring. The middle ring is called "brightness" and this is what controls light sensitivity, hence lighter or darker, and the outer ring is the 5 - 50 zoom ring. I've uploaded the two description images so you can see how they differ in placement of control rings. This is NOT a problem as long as you know that your particular camera will look like one or the other image.3. The lens control rings were extremely tight, so much so that when attempting to adjust any of the control rings, the force needed to change a setting began to unscrew the lens. The fix is simple: just work all three lens rings back and forth a few times until you feel the lens operate smoothly as the lubrication loosens up. This is not uncommon with screw mount lenses, all screw mount lenses going back in time have this issue.... its not a defect. Once you initially work the lens until control rings operate smoothly the lens operates as it should.Photos attached show exposure, the effect of depth of field and zoom. The images were very sharp at point of focus and the exposure ("brightness" ) had wide range.

30FPS high resolution camera with a nice little zoom lens
I have several cameras from this ELP brand. This particular camera has a 5-50 mm zoom lens which is nice for getting up close and personal with whatever you're filming. Just be aware that this camera does not autofocus - everything is manual. The camera settings can be "locked down" with thumbscrews after you have set them to your liking. You can adjust the zoom, focus, and aperture for a good picture in various light conditions and distances. This camera is meant to be mounted in a fixed location - I use a mount that lets the camera look down onto my desk for filming, although you can also use a standard camera tripod for mounting. This camera is completely plug and play in Windows. No additional drivers are required. The camera uses a USB-A cable to attach to your PC, so if you have only USB-C then you'll need an adapter.I use the camera with OBS, but the standard Windows camera app works as well. Picture quality is good filming through OBS - about the only real disadvantage of the camera is its maximum 30FPS frame rate (down to 10FPS at the highest resolutions) - so if you need 60FPS or higher frame rates, you'll want a different camera.

Fast and easy to work with
Plug-and-play USB camera. The manual controls are intuitive, are quick and feel good to use. It is definitely possible to hold in your hand and adjust on the fly with your thumb if you really want; that's the only way I was able to get the shot of an ant (they don't seem to like standing still); this might be more difficult with small hands. Even if you've never used a manually adjusted camera, you only have three variables here to play with, so I wouldn't be intimidated by it; you're going to pick it up right away. Both attached pictures taken with the camera. Despite its name, it can also do very decent shots of things a few feet away. Also excellent for getting labels off electronics ICs.

Most versatile web cam I've had.
This is a fascinating and versatile little webcam! Plugged it into a USB port on my Win11 laptop and fired up a video test, and it worked out of the box, no drivers or extra software needed. First webcam I ever got that had varifocus and 5-50mm telephoto. It also has an aperture control that will allow it to get a good image in very bright or dim light.First time I tried to make adjustments, I noticed that the adjustment rings were very stiff. Then I saw that each adjusting ring has a set-screw. Slight loosening of the set-screw allowed for easy adjustment -- then just tighten the set-screws (you don't have to get them extremely tight) to keep your adjustment the way you want it. None of the adjustments are software controlled, but the wide range of adjustments definitely makes up for that lack.I was able to focus down to about 5 inches. Probably could get closer in really bright light with the aperture down to maximize the depth of field. It has a 1/4 inch mount for a standard tripod. High quality feel, and includes a lens cap. This camera is currently selling for $81, approximately, which, given all it does, is not a bad deal at all. Since it works as advertised, I'll give it 5 stars.
