Seems to help!
I got these because I have an American Eskimo with a neck problem and a Papillon with a hip problem. Since I started giving these to my dogs I have noticed a significant decrease in the problems. My Papillon would limp around on 3 legs for a while after lying down for a long time. Since I started giving these to her I have noticed it less and less and not at all in the past week. I have not noticed my American Eskimo having any neck issues either. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are very yellow in color and if you happen to touch anything after handling these pills there will be a yellow spot on it. The pills are quite large and my Papillon has to chew them into smaller pieces so if she is on any kind of material (like a bed or carpet) there is a yellow spot and it is kind of hard to get off. But I will continue to buy these as the color transfer is a small price to pay for the well-being of my dogs. I am just very careful now as to where I give them to the dogs and will probably just start adding them to their food.

Dog Doesn't Like the Taste, But They Do Work...
Unfortunately our dog does not like the taste of these chewable pills. We did not think this would be an issue, since she likes pretty much everything we feed her. The pills are big and we have been sprinkling them over her supper and she has been eating it all that way. It would be simpler if we could just give her the pill though. The pills do seem to be helping her mobility, but would not purchase them again. Will try another brand next time...

My Maltese is now my miracle dog :)
In January 2014, my one year old Maltese twisted his leg during kenneling [one of those things]. The vet examined him, concluded ligament damage and stated he needed rest and provided a very expensive medication to help with his pain. If he didn't get better, the next step was surgery.I rested my Maltese for four weeks--which was very difficult for both of us because it stifled his life. I mean ... he's a dog who wants to play and run around! He seemed better after four weeks and his limp disappeared so we began playing and a few days later, he came up lame [limping]. Surgery??It was at that point I researched his injury and ready about supplements that could help rebuild and repair ligament damage. I was surprised at how many were available on Amazon and the reviews for every product were glowing----sooooooo, I chose the LEAST expensive product offered as they all have pretty much the same ingredients. As far as I could tell, the differences between pills involved the flavor they came in and pricing. The pills arrived, I began administration and my Maltese was FULL OF ENERGY the next morning!!! Within a week, his limping had lessened and he seemed back to his old self. He's been taking two tablets each day now for 30 days and he's back his old self =) ... I'm going to continue with two pills for two more weeks--then scale back to one over a two week transition period [as instructed].What I find perplexing is my vet didn't suggest this as a natural alternative for dogs experiencing ligament damage. I'm a believer and would recommend this product for any dog who is having issues involving moving around due to age, injury or ailment. The ONLY negative is he just doesn't wolf down the pill lol ... I grind it up and mix it with a pinch of shredded cheese. Basically, I've always given him four treats each day and the pill/cheese has become two of these. He loves the taste when presented in this manner and it takes me less than two minutes to grind ... mix ... feed ... wash my hands. If your doggie isn't worth a few extra minutes of pampering you should probably get a hamster.

Value = Low Price + Great Product
Findley Reed Joint Supplement for Dogs - Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM 120 Tabs I bought this brand after reading through what the recommendations were for dog formulations versus human formulations of joint supplements. The difference?Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) is to enhance the uptake of the supplements into a dog's blood. After reading this on multiple product descriptions, I realized what I was buying, a formulation specific to dogs. So I old friend won't be getting my supplements and I bought these. Why did I choose these? The price for one, and the active ingredients were another one.GlucosamineChondrotinMSMHyaluronic acidVitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)Yucca ExtractTumeric ExtractBoswellia ExtractManganeseHeck, these are better than the stuff I am taking!Do I recommend them: Yes.I still question what other products are used in this formulation. Why is there a difference in price from the other products? Is this a generic product where the ingredients are within +/- 2% of the predicate's formulation? Do they skimp on the ingredients? Do they assume to make a smaller profit margin on each bottle? Do they use a different tablet press that is faster than the competitors? Do they have a more efficient manufacturing process (or bigger)?I am not sure, but my dog is able to run and prance around me as I was mowing the lawn 3 days after he started taking them. He was not doing this before because he had trouble getting up and was not as mobile before taking them. He even started jumping onto the couch again! I was shocked. These work great as my dog is 13 years old, and his mobility was not very good. He was even having trouble going up stairs. Although this product helped, he is not the young buck he used to be. But he is more mobile and happier since he has been on them.Another thing, these tablets are big (size of a quarter). Plus my dog does not like the taste. The resolution: I put almond butter (or peanut butter) on it before I give it to him. Now he loves taking the pills!
