Solid, accurate and realistic
I recently managed to buy the TPR on a good offer, which was enough to sway me in favour of taking a chance on them. I haven't been disappointed, and am delighted to find that the flight sim feels significantly improved. The key differences are the scale, weight and tension of the pedals, all of which feel true to a real-life light aircraft. The unit is sturdy and robust, with an all-metal construction and strong springs, adjusters and hardware. The pedal rake (angle) and tension are easily adjustable, and aside from these tweaks to suit your set-up, the unit requires no further construction. When I first connected the pedals to my Windows PC running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, I was disappointed to find the yaw and brake axes working inconsistently, also generating a great deal of jitter. For some reason, spending a huge amount on peripherals tends to leave you with very high, and perhaps unrealistic, expectations out of the box. The initial 'problem' was soon resolved by updating the unit's firmware before downloading Thrustmaster's dedicated calibration utility from their website. It's a basic and quite poorly-designed piece of software, but it works nonetheless - you just have to remember to unplug the pedals' USB lead AFTER you have calibrated them, but BEFORE you close the calibration software. Once you've done that, they will work fine and 'remember' their internal settings, providing full-range motion and negligible jitter in the flight sim software. This amounts to solid, responsive rudder and brake control with a generous range. Overall, I am really pleased with this purchase. I finally have the pedals I feel my labour of love deserves. That said, these come at a premium price, so I would have preferred the initial setup process to be a more seamless experience.

Solid build, smooth and precise control.
For truly dedicated flight simmers, these are worth it. Solid, heavy build and smooth movement giving you much more precise rudder control than any of the cheaper options on the market. I've owned the TM T.flight pedals and the Saitek pedals in the past which are practically all plastic build, but these are just a world apart in quality, precision and engineering, which is what you expect given the high-end price. These make taxiing much easier and give a much smoother anti-torque control if you fly heli's. I'm now even getting to grips with the DCS Apache, whereas before it felt like it was flying me rather than the other way around. Aside from the fact it's all metal, what I like most about these pedals is that there isnt too much travel in them (maybe about 3-4 inches), so you can back this up against a wall if you need to - the pedals arent going to bump into the wall, though It's heavy enough to stay planted wherever you put it. Setting them up was easy. There's very little assembly. All you need to do is bolt on the pedals and attach the sensor into them with allen screws. Everything is provided including a couple of small spanners. The angle of the pedals is adjustable to 5 different increments. While getting the angle just right for your feet can be a little fiddly, once done you shouldn't ever need to change it again. Tension on the pedals is adjustable using one or two springs at the back, height adjustable to increase or decrease tension. Personally I found just one spring suited me fine, but each to their own. Pretty pleased with these high end pedals to go with my TM Warthog HOTAS setup for flying DCS and Il-2 BOS. Yes they are expensive, but worth every penny if you're serious about flight sims.

Awesome build quality and performance. but fiddly to achieve an optimal set up
This is one awesomely-engineered piece of kit, but tricky to correctly set up - basically because of the range of available pedal inclination adjustments. Have had two goes so far at the optimising this to suit where they are located relative to my gaming chair. The instruction booklet is, however, reasonably clear; & although fiddly to adjust & optimise, once locked in place there's no scope for drifting out of physical adjustment. The Thrustmaster TPR calibration software is easy to install & straightforward to calibrate & set. Fully worth all the hassle, once completed.

Amazing
I replaced my CH Pedals (13 years old) with these ones. I never liked the center detent in the CH Pedals for as long as I've owned them. Take offs and landings in crosswinds in particular were a real pain. These rudder pedals by comparison are smooth as butter. I've got far better control under crosswind conditions and there's no hard centre detent. The fact that these feel absolutely solid is further reassurance of the quality here, but time will tell whether that holds true. Reason for not giving five stars is two fold: - On a carpet you need to screw it down, otherwise it will slide about. - Assembly of the rudder pedals is fiddly, and this also applies to adjustment. However on the two counts above, I've had no reason to readjust my pedals once setup, and screws through the carpet aren't a bother for me either.

Fantastic product works well with flight sim
High-quality pedals work very well with flight sim. But before buying this, one should also have Thrustmaster’s pendular yoke and the throttle quadrant. Unless you have those, I would not recommend buying this. Also, this will then be connected with the throttle, the throttle is connected with the yoke. The TFRP, another set of pedals from Thrustmaster costs about one-quarter of the price of these does the same thing, and takes less space, too. I still bought these, the TRP set, despite the hike in price, due to high usage, which makes it worth it for me. Came with clear instructions, very easy to install the pedals. I would recommend fitting it into the ground with large screws* does not come with them, but the bottom plate has holes in each corner for this purpose. This will hold it in place properly. But it is not a must as it has a decent weight to it. Overall, a great product.

After using the Thrustmaster TFRP Rudder Pedals for about three months in various flight sims, I can say they offer decent value for their price point. The pedals provide a good mid into rudder control for flight simulation enthusiasts, though they're not without their quirks. The build quality is mostly metal, which is expected at this price range. While they don't feel premium, they're sturdy enough for regular use. The sliding motion is smooth initially, though I noticed it can get slightly sticky after extended sessions. A bit of maintenance with silicone lubricant helps solve this issue. The T.A.R.G.E.T software is a nice addition, offering good customization options for different games. However, it can be a bit confusing to set up initially, and the interface feels dated. Once configured, though, it works reliably. The toe brakes have a decent feel, though they could use more resistance for better precision. I appreciate the adjustable tension, which helps tailor the experience to personal preference. The pedals' footrests are comfortable enough for longer flying sessions. One notable drawback is the somewhat narrow base, which can make the unit feel less stable during aggressive maneuvers. I ended up securing mine to prevent sliding, which solved the issue. For PS4 compatibility, it works seamlessly with supported games, making it a versatile choice for multi-platform users. At this price point, the TFRP offers good value for mid and experienced simmers. While it may not satisfy hardcore enthusiasts, it's a solid starting point for those looking to enhance their flight sim experience without breaking the bank. 4.5 out of 5 stars - Good value for money, despite some minor limitations.

Built with all metal & aluminium alloy parts. There are software you can install to calibrate and fine tune it. I did not have to install any additional software since it worked out of the box with MSFS 2020. I dial down the center as it was a tad sensitive using the MSFS 2020 control setting. Although the pedals weighted in at +-7kg, you will still need to prop the pedals up against the wall or in my case I used a piece of wood to prevent from sliding.
