I’ve been using this ZAFRO 16,000 BTU portable AC for a few weeks now, and overall I’m really happy with it. It cools fast and runs surprisingly quiet — way quieter than I expected for something this powerful. I can actually keep it on at night and still sleep fine, which wasn’t true of my last portable AC. Setup took a little patience — it’s a dual-hose system, so getting the window kit in place took about 20+ minutes the first time. Once it was in, though, everything worked smoothly. The hoses are a bit stiff, but that’s minor. The app control is a nice bonus. I can turn it on before I get home or adjust the temp without getting up. The remote works well too. I also like that it doesn’t need constant draining — it evaporates moisture on its own, which saves time. The unit is on the heavy side, but the built-in wheels make it manageable. It cools my 400+ sq ft living room quickly, even on hot afternoons. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the window kit could fit a little better, and the app setup instructions could be clearer. But once it’s running, it’s rock solid

I ordered a top-rated portable AC that did not fit my window, despite the fact that the description said it would. Amazon was nice about returning it, but I didn't want to have that problem twice. So I chose the Zafro because of the videos showing that it fit all window sizes. Now I am very happy that I ended up with this one. It is smaller than the first one, it has more power--16,000 vs 14,000, and it was less expensive. The part that goes in the window is also far less high (only 7.5") so you lose less of your window. It was super easy to set up, it is very quiet--far less noisy than the window air conditioner in my bedroom, and it cools the large (600 sq.ft/ 9ft ceilings) living area in my hot, top-floor NYC apartment. Another thing that I love is that, unlike the window air conditioner in my bedroom, this one reduces the humidity. The window installation is so easy that I put it in and out depending on the weather. At this point, I can't speak to this AC's longevity, but I am super happy with it.

Works great and with the app makes it convenient. I bought 2 of these one for upstairs and one for down and can add both to the app and name them so you know what one you are controlling. Setup was easy and maintenance is easy drain it and clean the filter. All in all good ac unit to cool off a big room or loft.

I bought this due to the reviews, the size, and the square footage coverage. I wasted my money. It blows cold air but not high enough or strong enough to cool off a 650 square foot space. It is rated up to 1000 square feet, but that's a lie. I've ready threw all the packaging away so I can't send this POS back to where it came from. Save your money and buy a different product.

Best portable AC unit! I use it to cool off my 2 car garage so I can work in my new studio. It cools the huge room so quickly and quietly. Performs exactly as expected! Sleek design as well!

Overall it’s a decent unit, I do like the compact size, and efficiency for its output. The fact it throttles down but runs continuously means less noise and more consistent sound levels as well as consistent temperature. The app for the unit is HORRIBLE, it doesn’t seem to correctly follow the schedule I set at all. The LED light is insanely bright in a dark room (it can be disabled with the remote). It does cool our room well in the Las Vegas heat which is impressive, and it is decently silent for its ability. It seems to be EXTREMELY power efficient which was my main concern. Like all these portable units I’ve ever seen, the window adapter is flimsy, leaky, and just overall meh so I built my own by routering holes in a piece of wood and putting that in the window instead.
