MS. MARVEL: KAMALA KHAN

I’m not familiar with Ms. Marvel and I just finished watching the new show on Disney Plus. This basically is what that show was based on. It’s a cute fun read and I enjoyed it. Not my favorite but I understand where they are coming from as far as the new Generation. Check it out!

I'm leaving this review to let others that are interested know that this collects the first 2 vols. of Ms. Marvel, plus a little bonus issue of Marvel Rising at the end. Which is an awesome value! I think they listed the page count wrong in the description, as the first volume alone has 120pgs. I'm not exactly sure how many this has, since it doesn't have page numbers, but I'd guess it's easily twice that. It is a little smaller than the standard size comic, but I think the size is perfect for kids. I got this along with The Unstoppable Wasp, and Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur, and my daughter loves them!

Great history.

Pros1. Decent storyline and excellent research on the Pakistani background of the character.2. The old urdu poetry (in case anyone is interested) is from Amir Khusroo, a significant poet.Cons1. There are no page numbers which is quite irritating. We chose the book as a departure from our usual book club books but not having page numbers made it difficult to reference in the discussion.2. Graphics are in some places very poor and I feel a bit cheated.3. This particular edition had extra bits but it was difficult to work out where volume 1 ended. Needed an index.
