DANGER OF INJURY OR DEATH! STAPLES!
DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOIR ANIMALS! NOT SAFE AT ALL!!! DANGER! Could end the life of your pet. Bought these death traps marketed as a "toy" for my birds. Birds and other small animals chew on the wood. I noticed my birds had chewed their down all the way to the GLUE AND LONG SHARP METAL STAPLES!!! If one of my birds would have swallowed one of the staples they could have DIED! Not to mention heavy metal poisoning or toxic glue. The staples alone puts your animals at risk of injury or death. Horrible product I regret buying

A toy to entertain small curious birds, some assembly required.
I will start off by saying that bird toys are subjective. Just like your cat will play more with the box than the toy that came in it, birds can be the same way. Therefore I will not rate this based on actual playing but more on the item itself. I think that it offers food rewards for curiosity, so it is a reasonable design. The instructions that are included are pictorial and easy to follow. I was able to put it together in about 5 minutes. As bird owners know, birds need to be protected from toxic chemicals and chew hazards. The wood used, appeared to be untreated and clean. I was surprised that instead of a 1" countersunk piece it was made of two 1/2" pieces glued together with what I will assume is a nontoxic wood glue. The reflective acrylic lids are laser cut but the protective sheeting over them had not been removed. I had to pull the thin cover layers (this was not the reflective layer) off of the toy. **Beware of this before providing to your pet.** The listing indicates there is a cord or rope as the connecting string. Instead, I received what appears to be a synthetic round shoe lace material that is made to look like rawhide. Rawhide or cotton rope would have been better as a natural chew item. Overall this seems to be a well constructed toy that should appeal to small psittacines such as budgies or conures. The price seems reasonable for a bird toy.

Parakeets Uninterested
This toy is unique and I ordered it because it's not something that I had seen before. Sadly my parakeets are not interested in it. They avoided it completely for the first few weeks. Then they finally did start chewing on the edge of the wooden block, but they are not interested in finding the seeds under the little discs. It came with clear instructions and was easy to put together. One concern I did have was that there was plastic to remove from the discs, but it was difficult to see that on some of them. I could only tell because one has crinkled plastic on it. Then I accidentally started to remove the shiny part of the decoration, as I took the clear plastic off. I liked that the string to tie was a natural leather type material. Maybe birds larger than parakeets would be more interested in this toy. I do think it is a good idea.

Bad smell and poorly made
I bought this for my green cheeked conure and wasn't able to use it. It had a horrible smell and it fell apart. Complete waste of money.

Not recommended for Rats
Although marketed for birds, a lot of toys are interchangeable, so I thought I would try these out. My rats chewed the strings off within the first 5 minutes. It's a nice toy, but not suitable for animals that chew. I have replaced the strings with leather strings and they seem to be holding up better than the thin string that comes with the toy.

Bored No Mo
My cockatiel's new favorite toy! She watched me assemble it, so now of course she must dissect it! Love it!!!

Best foraging toy yet, well made, wood is smooth around the edges. Easy to operate Robbie can't stay out of it. It keeps him nicely busy, he encounters less frustration. We fill each well with a different treat. Love it, Robbie loves it!
