Rough Ryder Stoneworx Stockman

I searched high and low for a pocket knife for my husband after he lost his. Since it was his birthday I wanted it to be a special pocket knife, and this is! It is even more beautiful in person, and it looked amazing in the pictures! I gave it to him last night, he was so happy! He said it looked very well made, better than the knife he lost. He said the blades open and close just right, not too loose or tight. He thought it was the perfect size, not too big nor small. The knife when closed measured about 4 inches. The main blade is another 3 inches. It is extremely sharp. He was ecstatic about his Rough Rider pocket knife and I got the reaction I was hoping for!It does have China on the main blade. Funny thing is, if I had known it was made in China, I probably would have passed on this. I am telling you don't let that keep you from buying this knife. It arrived in a cute colorful box, with information about the Rough Rider brand. I highly recommend this unique and stunning pocket knife.10/03/2016 Update:My husband still loves this knife and takes it everywhere with him. He says he loves the weight of it. He shows it off to his friends, who all ooh and ahh. This is heirloom quality, something to hand down in a family. It has held up so well to daily use.

PRO: A very handsome knife for the money and would look nice on a desk, nightstand or workbench. Blades are sharp and you could make them sharper. I wouldn’t keep this in my pocket without a pocket sheath to protect it or you may lose or scratch the stonework. Very nice fit and finish.CON: My wife makes jewelry and works with stones. The knife has brass and abalone shell but, the turquoise and red coral is dyed “howlite.” A common practice for higher end costume jewelry. Still a semi precious stone but not nearly the value of turquoise and coral and that’s my problem as that is listed in the product description.I still gave this four stars because it looks good and made well. Nice “non-tactical “ knife you could pull out in good company and instead of gasps or fright, you have a familiar /classic looking knife that’s more of an ice breaker at parties or family functions. That’s what I was looking for and this will might that roll. I’ll save tactical for when needed.

Opened up the nicely made gift box and was thoroughly impressed with the beauty of the knife and the craftsmanship..I'm using this knife as my every day carry right now and I can't tell you how many friends remarked on how good looking the knife was. More then one person took it from me to inspect closer and all were as impressed as I was holding it. Can you get a better built pocket knife for a lot more money??..I'm sure you can, but for this price point and quality of knife..why would you bother... especially if you're like me that uses all the pocket knives he buys. The blades were sharp out of the box but I always keep a small honing stone in my pocket to touch up all my knives when I'm out and about using them for chores and such. Buy one you won't be disappointed

I like this knife, I actually ordered them as gifts for my bridesmaids. Its bigger than I imagined but thats my fault for not reading the description well enough. It is pretty stunning out of the package is definitely a statement piece. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is be that edge is just OK and the blades don't lock open, which can be sketchy, so maybe not a great gift for a kid. Overall really pleased with the knives and my girls LOVED them.

I am impressed by the look and feel of this knife, I really didn't expect too much but the finish is comparable to several higher priced knives in my collection. The only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars is a wobble in the longest, the clip point, blade, the other two are very tight but move smoothly and sharp enough to use out of the box, A great knife for a modest price.

Rough rider knives are the best knives on the market for the price, take it from me I have 25 of them

Great knife. Yes I know it is made in China. I know, it is not a Buck, Case or near the high end of the Yellowhorse custom knives. But- This knife is nothing like the old made in China junk from years and years ago. Quality construction, 440 SS blades and sharp, with really nice stone work. Well worth the bucks.

Handsome knife, holds edge well.
