A really nice mud flap
I don't know why the fenders don't come with these already installed other than some people might not like the look of them or perhaps that extra little bit of wind resistance or weight is too much to bear for the spandex mafia. (you know who you are!)They fit on my Planet Bike MTB fenders like they were made for them (duh) and the snap-on 2-piece rivets are a breeze to install. All you need for tools is a drill to make the holes in the fender. You could probably use a bit and brace on a thin plastic fender and not even need a power drill but you do want to be sure the rubber flap is fully inserted onto the fender and is straight before you make your holes. It took me much longer to remove and re-install the fenders than it did to put the flaps on. The snap-on rivets literally went on with just finger pressure and securely popped home with a satisfying click. Plastic snaps are much better and won't rust like metal screws and bolts, and won't loosen up and fall off either. All in all I was impressed with this product and the price. I just wish that I could have found the fenders with the mudflaps already factory installed when I bought them on Amazon -and saved myself some labor of taking them off again to put these flaps on at a later date.Like all Planet Bike products, I've been impressed with the design and quality of them as well as their value.Cons:My only gripe is that they are not exactly as pictured in the photo. they are the same shape and design as the ones pictured but instead of the ribs that are shown at the bottom of the flap extending out somewhat radially there is a raised/embossed Planet Bike(tm) logo with a silvery embossed finish to the letters. Not a big deal -but not as pictured. The silver on the embossed logo can be removed with a little bit of rubbing alcohol and they look much better, almost like the picture.

Large fender only
Purchased this set for a replacement on Catrike original front fender kit. It looks like it would fit, but the polycarbonate fenders from Catrike are too narrow, and the mudflaps overlap on each side of the fender too much. Don’t buy it if you’re looking for a replacement for the Catrike fender.

Works with rear rack
I got a pair of these to give some additional protection in the rain on the cyclocross bike I use for commuting. I dont have fenders but use a rear rack for my pannier, but at higher speeds, the spray from the rear tire comes up on my back.I could see that if I added a few inches to the back of the rear rack, the problem would go away and these mud flaps were just right. Most rear racks have a small hole near the back for a reflector, and i just took that off (I have superflash lights on other rear facing spots) and attached the flap in the same hole. One of them eventually fell off so am on the second, but at this price, it is hard to get upset. I plan on ordering another pair.

Perfect fit for my eMTB
You will need to drill mounting holes for the flat plastic rivets that are included. Removing the fenders isn’t required to install if you remove the wheel and drill from underneath. Also, acetone does a great job at toning down the branding.

Perfect Mud Flap
These mud flaps are perfect. EZ to install, light weight, flexible and they work great. If you don't want to drill holes, they can be glued on.

No instructions, no installation template
Just came with the flaps and plastic snaps. No instructions. You can't really install these with the fenders already on the bike (which is what I tried to do, since there were no instructions to tell me otherwise)... Because you need to see the underside to drill in the right place. This could easily be fixed if an installation template was included. I also had to estimate the drill size, and increment up every time the snaps would not fit through the hole. The biggest problem was that drilling my plastic fender resulted in burs/collars around the drill holes that prevented the snaps from fully engaging.
