HILLIND Hills 115534 Supex Heavy-Duty Rotary Hoist Dryer 4 Arm - 30 metre

This is not a lightweight rotary dryer, but a very well built bit of kit, made out of scaffold type pole. You concrete it directly into the ground (three bags of 'Postrcrete' from B&Q etc are needed) and it ain't gonna move. The height archieved when wound up is really good, way above head height, at about 2.05m when following instructions. Very sturdy winch mechanism. Assembly was straightforward and managed by just me, though a bit of help from somebody else is useful. This is not cheap, but if you want something that is going to last a long time, that gets your washing up into the wind, that you can walk under without hitting your head, then this is an excellent choice. Found after a great deal of looking. Definitely recommended.

Had cheaper rotary driers, but this has turned out to be money well spent. Robust, lots of drying space, easily wound up and down. Ideal for someone who likes washing to be hung out. Living in a really windy northern region, have found it does the job.

First saw these on a trip to Australia - where EVERY garden has one. Delighted to find one here. It is very strong and sturdy. I don't envisage ever having to replace it. More than enough hanging for family of 4 adults. Once washing is secured, you turn the handle and the centre pole extends to give your washing a good blow. Both king size bed linen and giant bath towels can easily fit. It took two strong men to put it together and thread the strings and would require sturdy base as it is very heavy.

I bought this as I had a great Hills Rotary at my last house. However - the quality of design seems to have deteriorated in the last 30 years. That said - it is still a superior piece of equipment. Happy overall so far.

Bought as a replacement for the same dryer which finally gave up the ghost after 30 years. So I can only hope the new one will last as long. Like the fact the whirly has a hoist as it raises the washing up to the wind.

A superb purchase with which I am absolutely delighted. Having gone through 5 dryers in an 18 year spell, I feel I have finally found the one to suit me. As my back garden gets a tremendous amount of wind from the river (we are also very high up a hill), other dryers just didn't last. The clothes also dry a lot quicker too. Best purchase I've made in a long while.

This is my third line. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good line.. Superb strength and quality. My first one was bought in 1987. Arrived before time.
