I was a little leery because I grow valerian & it doesn't have that distinctive smell. And when I made tincture from it, it dissolved completely which I have never seen before either. But, it works. It works really well. And because it completely dissolves, there is no alcohol loss either. If you use a pint of vodka or whatever you prefer, you actually get a pint of tincture, which is usually a 30% loss. I use it as a muscle relaxer and it relieved my tight muscles, calmed me down and I slept all night through as any senior can tell you is a wonder in itself.
