Garmin nüvi 42LM 4.3-Inch Portable Vehicle GPS with Lifetime Maps (US) (Renewed)

I love it doesn't even cover it!!! This is the 2nd Garmin GPS I have owned and I loved the first one buttttt let me tell you...this one is just totally amazing!! It is much wider than the first one I had and now that I am in my mid 40's it is certainly helpful..lol. I just love how the screen divides when you get to an exit and it shows you and tells you exactly what exit to take!! My husband & I were just floored the first time we used it and it did that!! :) I will recommend this to anyone!! Thanks again for such a wonderful product!!

The GPS worked quite nicely; saved a lot of time on vacation by keeping us from getting lost. My only beef is that it has no home button. If you want to cancel out of a direction or a place in the menu the only way to go back to the start menu is to shut it off and turn it back on again. Other than that it accurately directed us to some obscure locations and was very handy locating nearby businesses such as restaurants, gas stations etc.

How did we manage without these traveling gems? Even a seasoned Seattle resident used this Garmin GPS unit to navigate downtown traffic. I like how you can unplug it and use it from the back seat or take it with you for a walk in a strange city. I bought a refurbished one and it works like a charm. Definitely worth the investment if you travel unfamiliar routes even if only once in awhile.

The product was listed as in excellent condition. The screen had a 2-inch gouge mark across the screen. The device had obvious heavy wear marks on the case. The touch screen was worn to the point that you had to search to find an area to touch on the screen and then tap it several times before it would except the command. Very disappointed with the purchase, but I needed to keep the unit due that I needed it for a trip. I am not happy it the device after receiving it in such worn condition after it was listed in EXCELLENT condition.

I bought this as my older one had no map updates. My daughter and I were going on a road trip so this was the first test of the product and I wasn't disappointed. I love the features; in particular as you are approaching a street that street name appears on the screen which is excellent for going someplace new for the first time. The other feature I love is as you are approaching exits on a freeway, the screen splits in two; 1) it shows where you are currently traveling and 2) the number/name of the exit. I like the smaller size of the unit too. My old one was 5 inches across and this is only 4 inches. Thanks Garmin I love this product!!

For the price, it works well. Has trouble on long trips (Like Florida to New York), and you have to probably put each days destination in. Wish auto GPS units allowed for multiple waypoints on a trip like marine units.

Went on a long road trip depending on Garmin and it did not fail us. What an awesome system!! I updated my maps just before I went on the trip and info was so current that we were not lost anywhere on a 3000 mile road trip. Thanks Garmin.

This thing SUCKS. It does not know a lot of the roads in San Diego that have been around forever. Slow and glitchy. My old one would give you a list of roads as you spelled so if you did not know how to spell it all you had to do was get close and it would be on the list. Not this POS. if it's not spelled perfect it tells you not found. Use Siri on my phone more than this piece of junk. Do not buy this thing you will be as pissed as me if you do.
