Plastic handle is flimsy
The handle is flimsy. Rest sturdy. After some use, unhappy with the product. The only good thing is the steel quality. Rest not very good. It's very difficult to handle -- It's difficult to take the steamer from the pot and the steamer cover doesn't come off easily. And the handle is very flimsy

product seems to be a one with manufacturing defect. Unfortunately I started using it only on the next day of the return window closure. so Amazon relinquished and the Customer care of the product is also on the same way. so anybody planning to purchase have to rethink

SOLID SS quality out there on Amazon but lacks quality checks prior to shipping.
I have been looking for a SS Puttu maker with good quality. I have ordered about 3-5 top rated ones(also the expensive ones) on Amazon, but none of them were of good quality. This product selling in Amazon has the Best build quality of all the products out there (as of today), **but lacks quality check** Steel used is I believe could be 304 Grade or closer. I ran a test run to see if there are any leaks and sadly there are leaks (See video/pics attached). I placed replacement order and cant wait to use the product. I would update on other aspects this product after 2-3 months. Update: I received replacement and the replacement has 2 leaks on candle and 1 leak in the pot (4th picture attached). Returning this product also as it is defective. I guess, no quality tests have been performed prior to shipping the product. Please run a quality check after you receive this product to make sure there are no leaks. I am moving to Bronze variant, SS selling products are not a well made product overall. To JVL: It would nice if you could test run the product before it ships in-order to save replacement hassle.

Excellent product design and excellent steel gauge
The product design is really good and choice of steel gauge is sufficiently thick. Compared to the other products which were sold cheaper than this on Amazon and complaints of the steel cracking or becoming blue in colour, I believe this is worth the price. The gauge of steel used is thick enough for the purpose of puttu. The pot is quite large, which means we can easily clean the inside of the steaming pot. Also the ejection stick is made of steel. This worth the price and quality.
