Numenera Corebook

An interesting and enjoyable rule book with fabulous artwork and easily played rule system. Very much in the genre of Gene Wolf's "Book of the new sun". My main issue is not with the book itself but with anomalies in the rules. Two issues (1) concerning the relative cost of various items and (2) the health system. The latter is the most annoying since with the existing rule system there is little point investing in ordinary or special healing skills.

An excellent alternative to D&D etc. Takes a while to get your head around the setting and tech level, but addictive once you do.

Such an easy to learn but flexible rules system coupled with a really detailed setting. Really glad I bought this.

A great book and fun addition to anyone's collection.I've owned this book for a while now and its gorgeous to look through the art work is unique and stunning. I played my first game last night and it was a lot of fun - faster and easier to get to grips with than many other rpg's I've played, my group had a blast. Looking forward to the next session.

I've played roleplaying games for about 25 years now. I've always been looking for the next awesome game, the one where the setting and rules come together to make a great experience for all. I've finally found it.The Cypher system is an easy to learn, easy to use system that covers everything you need it to. It allows the GM to be flexible, allows the players to make the characters they want and allows everybody to have fun.The setting for Numenera is well thought out and detailed thoroughly (with plenty of open spaces to allow a GM to come up with their own stuff). The blend of fantasy with technology allows for pretty much any story you can imagine from Fantasy or Sci Fi with plenty of opportunity for Horror if you want.I recommend this game to everybody!
