Great value product!

So these aren't like the ones I've seen for glass chalk boards in the fact that they don't have a reduced diameter center that would extend through the glass. What this means is you will have the male threads in contact with the inner diameter of the glass hole if thats the application you had chosen them for. They do come with the two soft plastic washers for either side of the material being mounted. I used mine to mount guitar display cases on my walls rod a very clean secure mount. The back of my displays are made of .5" plywood so I used a Forstner 3/4" bit to counterbore the back followed by a 1/2" Forstner bit to make the finished thru hole from the front, you end up with a very clean edge on both with very minimal tear out. once you place the bases in the counterbore and hold them up against the wall or surface to be mounted with a level you can mark the surface going right through the standoff, the weight of whatever your mounting is held by the counterbore and mot the male threads, and because you used a 1/2" bit to go through the from the 3/8" threads don't bind being there is some radial clearance. I love the clean look of these.

Bought these because of the price. They work well and look sturdy enough. Not quite as sleek and attractive as the really expensive ones we usually use, but still OK.

The screws that hold the mount to the wall are too small.

Very long screws for 'thick' materials. I purchased these to enhance a display case to lift off plexiglass from the frame to prevent scuffs from the plexiglass rubbing on frame. The plexiglass is ⅛" and would freestand or wiggle after mounting (due to the initial standoff mounting screw preventing the main screw to be flush with the stand off mount) I ended up sanding ⅛ to ⅙ of an inch off of each bolt used for a snug fit. Thicker materials will fit with no problem. I eyeballed the threads for the stand off base (the 'female' piece that mounts to the frame) they are less than approximately ¼" grip for the stand off screws to grab. They were made with a high speed threading bit causing a marbleized discoloration on more than five but are not noticeable on completed project. Some shavings were left inside but an easy fix. Would buy again or recommend for DIYers. Great buy, simple install, they make an awesome appearance. Mount the mounts, pre drill screw holes, screw the screws, DONE.
