These are delicious as long as you cook them PROPERLY. The first time I tried these I thought I could cook them just like I do the cheap ones. I basically crumbled them up, added the sauce, and added 12 oz of scalding hot water from the Keurig and covered them tightly. Just like with the cheap ramens, these did in fact soak up all the water and were edible. However, the noodles had expanded so much that all I could taste was noodle and chili spice and there was not enough of the flavoring. IF YOU COOK THEM PROPERLY, however, they are delicious. So now I boil water, add just the noodles and cook until the noodles are done. It says leave 4 oz water but I DO NOT leave that much water. I strain the noodles completely except maybe 1-2 oz water at the most. I add the chili packet and flavoring packet to this tiny bit of water, and I also add a tbsp of butter and tsp of minced garlic, and then mix the hot, drained noodles back into this mixture. They are absolutely delicious this way. Super flavorful if you don't let the noodles soak up too much water.

These Samyang Buldak Carbonara noodles are very yummy and full of flavor. They have the perfect balance of spicy and creamy, making them really enjoyable to eat. The sauce is rich and coats the noodles well, so every bite tastes amazing. The noodles are thick and chewy, and once mixed together, the flavor is so satisfying. I'd prefer if it had more spice bit this is great for anyone without a high spice tolerance. Overall, this is a delicious instant noodle and one I would absolutely buy again if you love bold, flavorful ramen.

I recently had 70% of my stomach removed due to stomach cancer. I found that Ramen noodles actually sit comfortably on my current stomach but I was worried about the spice and heat. Thankfully, there is a flavor packet and a spicy sauce packet so that I can adjust the amount of heat in my noodles. I put about 1/2 teaspoon of the spicy sauce and that's just perfect for me. I save the remaining sauce in the fridge for other brands of noodles that may not have any spice sauce. Clearly, my stomach will not tolerate a lot of heat anymore, but that doesn't mean that I have to give up the flavors I love. Peppers might be hot, but they are also tasty! Don't be afraid of this particular Buldak flavor because the sauce and heat are adjustable. I will likely not try any of the other hotter versions because I think it would just be a waste of money for me. I do highly recommend this flavor for those who don't like a lot of heat/spice. It tastes good even with no spicy sauce at all.

Solid bump up from maruchan and top ramen in terms of taste, mild spiciness. There are no meat or vegetables, just powdered flavor and sauce to go with the noodles.

Tried this ramen on my daughter’s recommendation. The spicy sauce packet is VERY hot — and while it does have decent flavor, it’s more heat than I enjoy. I used about half the packet at first, which helped. The cheese sauce packet wasn’t for me at all. It tastes more like mac & cheese than ramen soup. Also, if you follow the directions and leave a little water in the noodles, the cheese packet basically turns it into cheesy noodles with no broth, which isn’t what I want from ramen. After a couple tries, I ended up discarding both the hot sauce and cheese packets completely. What worked way better for me: I made the noodles separately, then added them to 2 cups of spicy beef broth, 2 heaping tablespoons of dehydrated ramen-style vegetables, and 2 boiled eggs. Since the broth was already spicy, the flavor was fantastic — rich, balanced, and actually soup-like. Final take: The noodles themselves are good quality, but the included sauce packets just didn’t match my taste. Using your own broth and add-ins makes this much better.
