Looks fantastic! Instructions worthless.
This bumper looks awesome on my 2005 TJ!. It arrived as scheduled and well packaged. At one point I did notice it was bent on the bottom part where the 5 decorative holes are. Tried bending it back with rubber mallet and it just rang like a bell. Cant really tell now that its installed. The included instructions pretty much said "remove old bumper" and "install new bumper". Since the plastic "Jeep" piece that covers the front sway bar is not compatible with this bumper and I had a little bit of rust up there I had the sway bar brackets off to treat the rust when I "dry fit" the bumper. Fit perfectly at this point and the four top mounting holes on each side lined up and we verified the bolts would line up. So after the rust treatment was finished and sway bar brackets bolted down it was time to permanently install the bumper. That is where it got interesting. The bumper would not fit. It hit the bolts holding down the sway bar brackets. After some messing around I was convinced I would have to cut a portion of mounting tabs on the new bumper off. Then we noticed two spacers in the bottom of the box. We finally came to the conclusion these spacers were to rest on the frame just in front of the sway bar brackets. You can see my picture of them in the proper place before installing the bumper. You also have to remove the front bolt on the sway bar brackets to install the bumper as that bolt also goes through the bumper for installation. There was no mention of these spacers at all in the instructions and they were not on the "kit includes" parts list. Once we had that figured out the bumper was on and we had started the four top T-55 bolts from the original bumper. Thats when we realized there was no way to get our torx socket in there on a ratchet to tighten the bolts. A trip to the parts store and I came back with four 1/2" - 13 x 1" grade 8 automotive bolts slightly shorter than the original T-55 bolts (no factory tow hooks). Even with the hex bolts no socket/ratchet configuration would fit. In one picture you can see the two new bolts (per side) and the sway bar bracket front bolt, there is only 1 1/2 inches of room in that slot. Had to tighten them with a 3/4 inch combination wrench. 19mm is probably the correct size but 3/4 is very close and my set only goes to 18mm. Since these bolts would not tighten by finger it took MANY turns on the combination wrench as there was only room for about 1/16th of a turn each time. You will want a 19mm ratcheting combination wrench for those four bolts. If I ever feel the need to remove the bumper I will not do it without that tool. You will also want one in 15mm for the front bolt in the sway bar brackets. The factory bottom T-55 bolts went on without any issues whatsoever. The wiring harness is ok and includes a relay. It looks like others I have seen from name brands on other sites. It comes set up for the light bar and two round lights to all come on with the one switch. I wanted the two round lights to come on with the factory fog light switch so I cut those pigtails off and connected them to the fog light wiring. Before cutting we attempted to wire up all three lights just for a test. The pigtails were not long enough to reach all three lights at once. No problem I was going to cut them anyway. I highly recommend wiring the round lights separately if you ever want to use them on the road because the light bar is WAY too bright for street driving. I purchased a switch separately that fits into the blanks in the dash board. As soon as that arrives I will have that set up for the light bar.The round lights are pretty blue in color and brightness it ok. They aim inboard more than fog lights should in my opinion. The picture of the light pattern is with factory headlights on and just the new round LEDs in the bumper. The light bar is BRIGHT. It includes spot lights in the middle portion of the bar and floods on the outer. As I was driving at dusk and turning it on on some back roads only when there was no oncoming traffic I thought it might be aimed to high but as it got dark the bright spot on the ground in front of the Jeep got pretty bright so I did not adjust it.All three lights appear to be adjustable in the up/down direction but I have not done that yet.The description does indicate the "hoop" is removable but there is no mention of the winch plate which is also removable. I like that because I have no plan for a winch right now.Time will tell when it comes to rust. Many reviewers have complained about rust in these bumpers. For now I love the looks of this bumper, it is not simply the "regular" bumper with lights thrown in. It has more angles and is more substantial. Much heavier than the regular rear bumper that I installed from the same company.

Very awesome addition to my 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ!
I love this addition to my Jeep! It was a real PITA to install, but not the fault of the seller, I had to buy a T55 Torx tool to remove the original bumper and some of the bolts were a real challenge to get connected. I installed the two round LED lights to come on with my parking lights and the huge rectangular LED light strip is on a separate switch. That would be my only request, separate the two! The round LED light's look cool for daytime running and get people's attention to not pull out in front of you, the rectangular light is for football stadiums!

Great looking bumper, installation presented some difficulties
First off, love the looks of my new EAG bumper. Seems to be quality construction and the packaging for shipping were great and arrived with no damage. Now, why I didn’t give it 5 stars:1. I was shorted 2 nuts and 4 washers so I had to go purchase them.2. The install instructions are lacking, and made it difficult to install on first attempt. I had to go out and buy some grade 8 volts to complete installation because you can not use the 4 factory bolts in the top of the bumper like the instructions say or do. You will also need to remove the bolts from the front stabilizer bracket to fit the bumper in place and then reinstall them after the bumper is mounted. If they included the shorter grade 8 bolts with the bumper and improved the instructions, I would have probably given it a 5 star review.3. The black powder coat is a little thin and easily chips. Could be a rust problem in the future, need to hit the 2 areas that chipped with some flar black rustoleum to keep it protected. Now, let me save you some trouble and speed your installation so you can fit your bumper the first time. The problem I ran into was the instructions tell you to reuse the 6 factory bumper bolts. The problem is, the 4 factory bolts on top of the bumper are 3-4 inches long, especially if you have the factory toe hooks on top of your bumper. The bracket that bolts the number onto the frame rail only has about 1.5 inches of space to work in so there is no way to use the factory bolts, with a T55 socket wrench to secure the top bolts. Save yourself the headache, and go to your local hardware store and buy 4 grade 8 bolts 1 inch long full thread. On the TJ, the bumper bolts are 1/2 13s. I found mine at Lowe’s. Also, you won’t be able to fit a socket wrench in the space above the bolts, so you will need to use an open end wrench or a box head ratcheting wrench which is what I used. I did use the factory bottom bolts which had no clearance problems. Lastly, you will need to remove the 2 15mm bolts that hold the front side of the stabilizer bar in place that sits on top of the frame rails. Then once you place the bumper on the frame rails, you can reinstall the 15mm bolts through the little tab at the end of the bumper bracket. Maybe AEG will read this review, and start including the grade 8 bolts for the top of the bumper with the kit to save you the hassle. I also bought washers to install with the bolts. Hopefully, these extra instructions will help you out when you install this great bumper.

Good looking bumper and sturdy
Nice bumper over all came with a damaged light, but customer service was great and sent a replacement out quick. Also had some minor fitting issues but all in all I like the bumper.

Good front bumper.
Fairly easy to install. I actually wired the two side lights to factory fog light plugs. Then used the included switch for the main light. This left me two additional wires for LED lights. Plan to use one to add an additional bar light above the winch. It is very bright. Having to place the winch on the bumper before install requires two people to install it. I didn't mind because it would be very difficult to steal the winch because of this.
