The Art of Jon Hul (German Edition) Paperback – September 15, 2003

Joh ia a man who was destined to become an artist, and thankfully he is an expert at the genre of pin-ups.This first collection of his art work leaves me stunned as I turn the pages and see the detail he captures inmost of the pieces, whether the are color or b/w.I love this collection as his technique with the female form has been honed to perfection, and has been compiled beautifully.There is a biography, and in the back a step by step on creating a pencil portrait. Also a section on each of the pieces, and Joh talks about his life.It is an amazing book and one I would recommend you add to your own collection.

I personally loved this book. This was a very impressing array of pin-up art . being an artist of the same and similiar genres I can appreciate this book as it gives me ideas of techniques and what sort of models to continue to use. All in all I give this book a high reccomendation giving its great use of color and shading. being a fan of b & w I was impressed by the pencil art and the realistic look of the subjects. I really enjoy owning this book.

John Hul's photo-realism is beautifully captured in both his pencilled B & W drawings and also his photo-realistic paintings. There is also a step by step approach in his drawings. Also included are his detailed explanation in some of his techniques in preparing for his drawings and paintings. Also a bonus included in the book is a poster about measuring about 16 x 24, show front and backsides of 2 different artworks.

Beautiful.......just beautiful, the book is thicker than you expect and with some amazing pictures as an artist I would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys seeing other peoples work for inspiration

Hul is one of the best, IMHO. Collect them all, and enjoy repeated viewings.
