The poles are sturdy and secure, but when extended to their max height, they're just a little shorter than I would like, but overall did exactly what I needed.

We’ve.only just started using these props and very disappointed with them. The white plastic end props won’t stay fixed in the top of the poles especially when they’re retracted. We’ll end up drilling holes and driving a screw through each pole to secure the plastic fittings. Obviously disappointing.

Bought this to replace a similar item that lasted 10+ years. In comparison this appears to be made from a slightly thinner gauge metal; in fact, if I tighten the locking nut too tightly it dents the inner pole. That aside (and as I write), it’s getting its first use today - it’s been up for 3 hours already and hasn’t collapsed yet so I’d like to think it’ll last.

They do what they say on the tin. Hung a good few washes out on the line, good few with heavy duvet covers and such like. Keeps the line up and no problems. Seem to be sturdy enough, good for price.

They arrived in good time, well packaged. I researched a few of these, as the ones I've had before always break in a very short time. These look to be a bit sturdier (without going into the very expensive range) and I hope they'll last. They extend as you would expect, but are fixed with a wing nut, rather than the twist grip, which is the part that always breaks quickly in other kinds, making the thing useless. I purposely looked for one with a different method of securing the extended pole, and this looks good. I would still bring them in at night though, as the wing nut would still rust, I expect. But a bit of care will obviously extend their life. I've only had them a few weeks, they're still fine at the moment. All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase.

Easy to use and store. Like the idea that they shouldn't rust. Paid over the odds thinking they would be more robust but when retracting be careful not to let the pole slide away too fast or the top flies off. Goes back on as long as you don't loose it but not as sturdy as I would have liked.
