Edward, the #2 engine of the RWS
As a kid, I was fond of the characters in the series (at least prior to Season 5), but the one character that stuck out the most, was Edward. He is one of my favorite characters because like depicted in the classic series, he is an older and wiser engine, who can also show that even if he's old, he can help be a banker (a term for 'back' engine) pushing heavier trains up Gordon's Hill. I also like the fact that out of all the Thomas products made by Bachmann (at least for the ones that appeared in Season 1), Edward stood out the best because not only does he keep his basis sooo accurate, but also is close to his RWS counterpart that also looks similar in a sense! If anyone is collecting an engine from Bachmann, this character is a good start. As soon as I received this model from the mail, I was speechless of how accurate this character really is... Definitely like the character shown in the TV series and RWS, runs very well, and pulls a lot of trucks (the UK term for 'cars' or 'wagons') and coaches more than others could have. Lovely model and definitely recommend this character for your Thomas and Friends layout!

Good.
Good because not only it runs cool, but also the fact that it’s based off his S6 model, hence why he omits his safety valve. But it’s a good model nonetheless.

thus far this locomotive is reliable and useful. i primarily use him for heavy shunting
thus far this locomotive is reliable and useful. i primarily use him for heavy shunting, mixed goods and suburban passenger trains, and he is able to preform more then adequately. he easily strides away with any load he is given (with in reason of corse). tho a stellar runner and powerful worker there are a few key design flaws, the draw bar that connects the tender is weak and flimsy and the eye mechanism is jerky. over all though i highly recommend this model to anyone from an experienced modeler of Sodor's North Western Railway to a child that wants something of there own to play with on their mother's or father's train set. if you do get this superb model i recommend also picking up Troublesome Truck #3, GWR cattle truck, and the red branchlike coaches as they are the most appropriate stock for this character

Used?
Very weird because the item arrived properly packaged, however when opened it had a white dirt on it and some of the wheels were not moving right. Was a birthday gift for my son, ruined, disappointing.
