DonJoy PerformanceStabilizing Knee sleeve - Medium

I am 66 and have mobility / stability issues with both knees (bursitis). This gives me the stability I need / want and doesn't slip

The sizing is very inaccurate. I don’t trust whatever sizing is on Amazon so I always go to the manufacturer direct. Took my measurements and came out to the very low end of medium which I thought was great that I’d have some wiggle room. Wrong. Got the thing and could barely squeeze my leg in. Almost returned it but wore it for a few days and it loosened up just a tad to be a true compression sleeve not a tourniquet. Three stars because it wasn’t ready to go right out of the box and just for the fact that if my measurements were any larger it would have been completely unwearable. Part of the middle donut has already busted loose in a centimeter section, probably because it took so much force to pull it up but otherwise it provides good support and seems durable enough.

Bought for my husband. Here are his comments.Much needed added support for post ACL + MCL surgery was just right. It was not bulky under my Gi pants and comfortably remained in position during 90 minutes of rolling (forgot I was wearing it the whole time). In comparison, the standard knee sleeve style brace rolled up and had to be re-adjusted once or twice (inconvenient under Gi pants). Large fit perfect and tight only when putting on. For fitting reference: lean athletic build at my fighting weight with little room for weight cut: 175 pounds, 6’1”, and a large was snug, comfortable and did not require adjustment to put back in position while rolling.

The brace was great for my knee in keeping it feel stable throughout my workout. It runs a little small as they want "compression" for the brace, but it seems to be a bit too much. I usually get medium DonJoy braces, but had to get a large for this one.

The support straps keeps coming out and I have to push it back in, I think there is hole.

Despite all the reviews that said to order larger, I followed the manufacturer's recommendation and bought a medium. My knee measures 15", calf 14", and thigh somewhere in the range. Given my calf measurement being on the low end of medium, I figured I'd be okay.My use for the brace is for rock climbing, where my patella (I think...) slips out of place during full flexion. The brace I had previously would slip down throughout a climb and didn't feel snug enough, so I was ready for something with more compression.Well, I only have a couple hours of experience with this brace so far, but the results have been fantastic. It was definitely snug, but I forgot it was on after a while. Most importantly, it didn't slip, and my knee felt totally secure throughout my whole session.I'm thrilled with this purchase so far, and once I get more time with it, I'll update my review as needed.

I went to the DonJoy site specifically to get the sizing after reading multiple reviews about this brace running small. Despite that and ordering the size it said I would need, I could not even get the brace over my calf. This runs extremely small and if you have knee pain, fighting with it will only exacerbate that. The return process is a pain too as you can't ship it to Amazon, you have to ship it back to them and hope they refund you. Additionally, the shipping time was long. Skip this one.

I used this knee brace to play golf. After four 18 hole rounds of golf, the seam at the top of the stabilizer on the right side separated causing the stabilizer to break through. The knee brace did an excellent job of limiting lateral knee movement during golf, but I am very disappointed with the seam separation in only 4 uses. Sadly, a tear appeared at a seam at the back of the knee on my 1st DonJoy knee brace purchased 10 days earlier after 7 rounds of golf.

Great brace for fit and comfort. Good basic compression for the knee and patella. Does make you sweat a lot since it is neoprene and can be tricky to pull off when damp. The one thing I don’t like is Velcro opens to one side at bottom and to the other at top, so one side is always rubbing your inner leg or pants, depending on which leg you wear it. The Velcro basically wrecked my expensive bauerfeind brace I was wearing in my other knee.
