Shopping Bags for Shallow Express Style Supermarket Trolley Heavy Duty Set of 4

I bought these shopping bags to replace two jute hessian shopping bags that I had used for some time. While the jute bags did quite well I found that two bags were never really enough and they were not the most practical option either. I thought there must be a better solution for grocery shopping and began a search on Amazon. Most of the options (as with bags sold in supermarkets) are the traditional size/shape and I was surprised to see so little invention in regard to something that is not exactly rocket science. After some time I finally came across these heavy duty shopping bags of varying sizes which are designed to fit in a shallow supermarket shopping trolley and decided to give them a try.On receipt of the bags I was impressed by the quality of the materials and the manufacture. They seem sturdy and I expect they will last for a long time. They also have quite a funky look to them with the light grey colour bordered by orange. The handles are quite short and well attached so there's no danger of the bags dragging on the ground. There are four different sizes which fit neatly into one another like Russian dolls so you only have to carry one bag into your car and storage is easy. Having different size bags works so much better than having bags that are all the same size. For example, in the smallest bag you can fit 10 standard tins of baked beans, tinned tomatoes, ravioli etc. and then put some other things on top. In the next size up you can have a bottle of wine either side which are held in place by straps and put a 4 pint milk bottle in between with lighter items on top. Using four bags means that you can distribute heavy stuff between them so that no one bag gets too heavy. The largest bag is a good size and great for carrying more bulky items. The height of the largest bag is only 30 cm but it is approximately 48 cm wide and 18 cm deep. I find this size/shape more practical for supermarket shopping than the taller bags as they seem to 'sit up' quite well when loading.I wanted to do a grocery shop before writing a review to see how practical the bags were and I have to say that they were excellent. I do a supermarket shop about every 10 days and usually spend around sixty pounds. On completion of my shop the four bags were virtually full and the items fitted in quite easily. These bags are suitable if you are shopping weekly for one or two people or if you shop every few days for a larger family. One or more of these bags would also be useful for shopping in general. I really like this product and I think it's great value at around five pounds per bag (September 2018).

I have been using these bags for a while now and they are fantastic. I wouldn't go to the shops without them, whether I'm doing a big/weekly or smaller shop. Due to their graduating sizes, they fit perfectly into Tesco/Sainsburys shopping trolleys which makes packing efficient and allows you to easily sort your items. I have also used them in Lidl where the trolleys are different sizes and they work just as well. They are incredibly well made and even when full of tins, bottle, jars and other heavy items, they are easy to carry and there is no fear of the handles breaking off. They are easy to store and the four sizes fit inside each other so you only have to carry one bag or hang it off your trolley. As they don't have the sticks through the top like other brands they can even be rolled up and popped into your handbag. I didn't know what I was missing until I bought these. Highly recommend!

Perfect product. Fast service. Fits in small trolley. Definitely cut down the amount of time I load and unload my shopping. Heavy duty. Like the fact if anything spills on them I can put them in the washing machine.

Very good quality and are very good for a small trolley and perhaps a small shop.
