Q: Can a usb-a (male) to usb-c (female) adapter plug be used with its supplied cable? some folks had problems with other cables. what about usb adapters?

It comes with its own adapter. Not interchangeable.

Q: I have low grip strength and fingers damaged by many years of kitchen work. Might I be able to use this? How easy is it to operate?

I do not find this lighter particularly easy to use or to re-charge. Maybe it's my age! Also, it broke within two months of minimal use. They were very good about replacing it, however.

Q: Is it possible to purchase a replacement charger? my other usb-cs do not work as many reviews state they can only charge it with the original cable.

I have no problem with any of the cables from here with Anker chargers.

Q: Did it come with a charger?

It comes with a cord, usb-a on one end, and usb-c on the other. The lighter accepts the usb-c end, and plug in the usb-a end into an outlet, computer, etc., to charge.
