Well, we’ve used it 3 times and the steering won’t work already. We’ve done everything exactly as it says. I charge it for 2 hours exactly, we haven’t driven it on anything crazy. We were just in the street and the steering all the sudden stopped. Also, The battery only last a short while. It’s a pain the have to unscrew the battery area and charge this constantly. Not sure if the steering is a fluke... but my review will stay 1 star unless we get a new one and it works for a while.. longer than 3 days. Lol

I got this for my little boy as a starter RC 4x4 for outside. I took care to fully charge the battery pack it came with, but not overcharge. Installed brand new AA batteries in the controller. Headed outside to give it a run and have some fun. It worked for all of about 10 minutes, then just stopped.Tried second fully charged battery pack (recommended at purchase, which I ordered as auxiliary so we could just swap and get more run time). The car still would not run. Put all new AA batteries (again) in controller. No go. Tried on/off completely all around (i.e., a reboot). Nothing. So it's not a battery issue. Not a user issue. This thing is dead.While it did work:- Seems to be pretty sturdy, but did not have a chance to really put it through any paces.- Speed is not too crazy, but good fun.- Power seemed weak. It tackled rough dirt, small sized rocks, sticks, bark, thin grass, and other minor yard terrain, but it got stuck on things you'd expect it to just roll over.- It's not 4x4 drive. I discovered this when the car got stuck with three wheels still on the ground and one wheel in the air. That one wheel was spinning and the other three on the ground were doing nothing.- Turning? Forget any quick or tight turns. Turning radius is HUGE, as others mention. The Titanic turned on a dime compared to this thing.- Some folks complained of screw that needs to be unscrewed to access the battery compartment. Just a guess, but this might be due to child safety standards / law (US).My review is one (1) star for price and potential. It's just too bad, because it seems like it would be a lot of fun and pretty durable, and at a reasonable price all things considered. But, buyer beware and gamble at your own risk. The one I got just stopped, and nothing is bringing it back. So I'm sending it back.

The car itself is great. It is fairly fast, but easy to control. It performs well in light brush, but not in thicker grass. The biggest issue is the poor preforming rechargeable battery. Once charged we have only been able to get 15 min of run time.

We purchased this item 2 months ago and I recently saw it just sitting in my son’s room and I asked him why he hasn’t been playing with it and he replied “because it broke the first time I used it.” He did not share this information with me and now it’s too late to return. I don’t recommend this product if it is going to break on the first time. He even used his own money on this car and was very excited about getting it.

Sad to hear your 8 yr old say he’s disappointed with Santa’s present on Christmas Day! Battery only lasts 15-20 min tops- to be fair it does say this in the specs but didn’t see until afterwards. They battery pack is held in place by a cover that needs to be screwed in- very annoying to have to screw and unscrew to charge for 2 hrs and then only drive for 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Agree with other reviews stating it’s difficult to know when it’s fully charged due to only one light that just stays on whether charge is full or not.

Total garbage. Turning radius is a joke so it's pretty much useless in the house. The setting for "high" and "low" speed doesn't change anything. I've purchased cheaper remote cars that worked much better.

The car is great. Wish you didn't have to take battery out to charge it's the worst part and too hard for my little kid to do themselves.

Cool little car, well built and strong.2 motors, 1 front, 1 back.CHARGER SUCKS. Theres just 1 red light and its USB.No way to know when it's done.
