desertcart.com: TESTAMENT OF SISTER NEW DE - TESTAMENT OF SISTER NEW DE (1 DVD) : The Testament of Sister New Devil: Movies & TV Review: Limited Edition | Blu Ray | Box Set Review - A show about demons and magic, set for a Halloween release? Pre-ordered the Limited Edition, naturally. I won't do an in-depth review of the show itself; if you're here, you know what you're getting into. As a dramatic juxtaposition of flashy combat and even flashier fanservice, this isn't exactly the next Lain or Mushi-shi, but it's also not meant to be. To expect such would be missing the point. If you can set aside reality for a couple of hours to laugh at some raunchy comedy, fist pump at some magical fights and toss the occasional thumbs up at the nudity, then you my friend are indeed the target audience. Yes, the drama is a little heavy and drawn out at times. Yes, the fights could be flashier and the magical powers cooler. Yes, on average we score only one heavy fanservice scene an episode at most (and let's be real, that's a big part of why we're watching). Yes, the premise is standard and the main plot points are drastically overdone in this medium. But at the end of the day I don't care if I've seen the same thing a dozen times before, all I care about is whether this particular incarnation is fun to watch. And my personal evaluation is a solid, confident "Yes". If I were to rank based on comparative enjoyment to my fellow anime fans, I'd put this one above High School DxD (which I personally consider try-hard and pandering, and not in a good way) but below To Love-Ru (which is so endearingly, blatantly, shamelessly stupid that I can't help but to love it). Version and language info: I watched the Blu Ray (on my fancy new player) in Japanese (because I'm a shameless weeb). Tomokazu Sugita and Keiji Fujiwara are gods, so it's a bit of a shame they play minor characters. I've been a fan of Yuuichi Nakamura ever since Clannad, he can put a lot of believable emotion in his acting. Ayaka Asai is solid, if somewhat uninteresting. Sarah Emi Bridcutt has mostly only done minor roles so far, but she has a good blend of soothing and serious. Kaori Fukuhara's voice is lovely and underrated. Blu Ray and DVD are each on two discs, for a total of four in the set. I did not try watching the DVD version, so I can't comment on possible quality differences. I'm also an arrogant purist, so I did not try even a second of the English dub. Bonus content for the Limited Edition is solid: a simplistic 18-page art book and an 18"x24" cloth poster of Mio in her primary official solo pose. Your choice if that's worth the ~$20 upcharge. Shame I can't purchase posters of Maria and Yuki to match, though. My only gripe would be the packaging used for shipping, as this was sent in a padded envelope rather than a hard-sided box. But the product did indeed arrive undamaged, so I suppose all's well that ends well. Final rating 5 / 5. Simple, enjoyable and exactly what I was looking for. Review: Temptations of Step-Sisters - - Synopsis: Our protagonist of this story is Basara Toujou; a former member of a clan of heroes. Historically, their enemies are those from the demon clan. One eventful day, his father suddenly brings home two girls and welcomes them to the family. The only issue is that they turn out to be demons. After much thought, Basara decides to protect his newly-formed family, as opposed to fighting them. Despite the numerous temptations and obstacles they will face, it won't stop him from protecting his loved ones. Find out what happens when you mix a demon with a hero! - Comments: This is an Ecchi and will have high levels of fan-service. If you didn't enjoy Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid, High School DxD, Maken-Ki!, and other similar ones, I strongly recommend passing on this. If you're accustomed to these genres, then you might find it enjoyable. - Features: Contains English audio, and Japanese audio with English subtitles. The subtitles are white. There are 12 episodes on 2 Blu-rays, and 12 on 2 DVDs. The approximate run-time is 5 hours and is rated TV-MA for violence, strong sexual content (fan-service), and suggestive dialogue. Extras include an OVA, trailers, and textless opening/closing songs. This anime is uncensored and also has a reversible cover. - Conclusion: If you’re a fan of anime or Ecchis with cool fight scenes, plenty of stimulating fan-service, and a cast of fairly likable characters, this might be the anime for you. However, if fan-service isn’t your thing, you might want to pass on this one. The protagonist isn't a push-over like many are in similar genres. And once again: it's uncensored! Some of the scenes are borderline hentai. - Recommendations: High School DxD, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy, So, I Can’t Play H!, Demon King Daimao, Freezing, Cross Ange, Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid, Sekirei, The Devil is a Part-Timer!, and Yusibu.

Good anime
I enjoyed this series. overall it was a different story line that flowed from one episode to the next. there were very few episodes that felt like "filler" to the main storyline.

Fun action but faulty blu-ray media
Good shounen action, good fan service -- if a little overbearing in the domination department. As for the physical media: In the first order I received, the blu-rays were blank, although the DVDs were fine. I returned the package for a replacement and the new blu-rays had playback problems, causing skips and hangs. This is on two different media players on which other blu-ray disks played just fine. Be wary of this. I returned the replacement and I have decided not to order a third copy for a while in the hopes that Funimation can fix their manufacturing problems by the time the second season is released.

Stop fighting Mio
I can see why this makes the list for almost H-anime. Now don't get me wrong, I'd watch this as a hentai too. Why? The story is ( I can't think what to say ). but come on a succubus ( Maria ) and the future ruler of the demon rem ( Mio ) trick their way into the life of a banished hero ( Basara ) and his father. Once these heroes figure out who these two beautiful ladies are they decide to take them under there protection from demons and heroes alike. But the hero clan and the demon rem has already sent members to watch Mio and Maria.

Great ADULT Anime/Hentai
This is a super series. The story line is solid from the Manga and the humor and fun is reminiscent of Highschool DxD.

a fun series
If your not a fan of fan service do not watch this cause this series has it in spades... But other than that this series is fun to watch a good story line but not on par with high school dxd, but there is story even with all the crazy that goes on with this anime

Love the series. If you're really into you should pick it up. Who doesn't like bouncing breasts and loud moaning that can wake the lions up? (Smh oh Mio) Obviously it's an ecchi series (sorry kids go back to watching Treehouse) Master servant pact, uncut and uncensored? What more can I guy ask for? Cant wait for season 2's complete series pack to come in. 10/10 love the extras comes with a Mio fabric poster to wipe the extra excitement after watching it and the artbook is pure gold NSFW images you guys had to look up unless you buy it.

EL ARTICULO EN SU PRESENTACION HA SIDO COMO TODOS LOS BLUERAY QUE HE COMPRADO DE MUY BUENA CALIDAD, AUN CUANDO SOLO ESTA EL SUBTITULAJE EN INGLES, PERO LO MAS DESTACADO ES EL CONTENIDO DE LA SERIE, SOBRE TODO QUE NO ESTA CENSURADO, LA ANIMACION DE LAS MEJORES ASI COMO TODA LA PRODUCCION DE LA MISMA Y AHORA QUE EL ENVIO ME LLEGÓ MAS RÁPIDO DE LO QUE ESPERABA.
