This 4 tier wooden bookshelf is perfect for organizing kids books! The assembly did take some elbow grease but was straightforward, and instructions were simple and easy to follow. As mentioned in the instructions, it's important to make sure you don't completely tighten all of the screws until the very end. It does come with the tools needed to put it together, but if you have your own screwdriver then I definitely suggest using it. The wood is sanded smooth, there are no rough spots or splinters and I like that the corners are rounded. It's quite heavy once assembled and though I'm not worried about it tipping, it does come with anchors to secure it to the wall for extra safety. The shelves have space to fit multiple books in front of each other (depending on book thickness). It's been a great way to display our books (we do a book rotation) and I find that the kids are asking to read them more often now that they can see the covers instead of just the spines. Really great quality and highly recommend this for little book lovers!

This tiered shelf is made of real pine so it is very sturdy and a bit heavy. It was fairly easy to put together but there are a few tricks that it would have been nice to know in the instructions, like making sure that the side panels have the larger screw holes on the outside so the screws lay flat inside the wood and don't stick out. I only knew to watch for that because I read another review that said it. Other than that, it was easy to assemble and took one person about 45 minutes but it would be much easier with an extra set of hands. It comes with an Allen wrench which is the only tool needed. Once it was together, I was impressed by how solid and sturdy it is. It says that it hold up to 80 pounds so it will have no problem being filled with books. I think it looks quite nice and will blend in to most any decor. It is designed for children's books but I think it could be transitioned from a toddler to an older child or even a teen. Now that I think about it my doctors office has a similar shelf for magazines so I think there are lots of uses for it if you think outside the box. Mine will be used for books, hopefully for many years to come!

I ordered this Tohiasen 3 Tier Bookshelf for my grand daughter. She's a very avid reader but doesn't have a bookshelf in her room so her books are strewn over her desk and bedroom floor, so I wanted to get her something to help keep them organized. The bookshelf is made from real Birchwood and has a white painted finish on all the exposed surfaces so it will match virtually any room decor. The painted finish is perfect with no defects or bare spots and the edges have been smoothed and rounded over to help protect your little ones if they happen to bump into it or run their fingers across the edge. The assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow and all the pieces are numbered so it's easy to tell which piece goes where. It should take you about 30-40 minutes to put it together using the provided Allen Key, but I used a small battery powered screwdriver which made the assembly much faster and easier. Once it's assembled the bookshelf is very sturdy and will not flop over or bend under the weight of the books you put on it. It measures 27.5" tall x 29.5" wide and each shelf is approximately 2.75" deep so you can easily fit 3-4 books across and 2-3 books deep on each shelf depending on how thick the books are. The book stops have a cute scalloped design and are about 3" tall so any books you place on the shelves won't slide off. The side panels have built in carry handles that make moving the bookshelf to a different spot easy. The package also includes two hanging hooks that fit into the handle cutouts so your child can hang up their school bag or favorite plushies so they're within easy reach and not on the floor. You also get an option wall anchor that will help prevent the bookshelf from tipping over. This is a great addition particularly if you're putting this in a toddler's room. I'm very happy with the quality and the design and my grand daughter absolutely loved it and immediately started to organize all her books once I put it in her room. Highly recommended.
