I purchased this because I like the idea of filtering air that’s being blasted towards my face, and also because I figured it would be good to keep the fan itself cleaner for longer. What I didn’t expect was to take a peek at this filter a month later and see a nice 1/16” film of dust clinging do the back. Dayum. That’s what’s up. The thing is, this little filter wasn’t the cheapest, but when I got it I was impressed with how easy to install it was, and how well made it is. The fit was perfect for the model Lasko I purchased. I would definitely recommend this purchase if you’re even remotely considering it. I can also tell you it is going to be a *breeze* to wash clean and use again and again. Huzzah!

These are GREAT!!! I hate heat, so I've slept with a fan blowing on me every night (even in winter) for 2+ years (good little fan) but... since I got a really high bed, my old fan just didn't cut it so I bought a 42" high fan (which is great). Having dismantled my shorter fan before I found a LOT of dust and figured, not only was it disgusting, I was breathing that every single day/night. When I found the 42" awesome fan here on SmileAmazon... I saw this cool screen. Didn't really want to invest the extra $ - but figured I wouldn't have to mess with pulling my fan apart to clean it down the road. I love it. Easy to attach to the fan and no more dust. I have since bought 2 more fans and 2 more of these. They're worth the price for sure.

Filter fit perfectly! very easy to install, and even easier to clean - you can wash it or vacuum, then reuse as if it were brand new. I have tried both, but washing it seems to get more dirt off. Vacuum every once in a while and you probably wont need to wash it. excellent purchase - I'd highly suggest it to anyone who wants to increase their fan's life as well as keep the dust from circulating around the room

Tired of having to buy replacement tower fans after they fail? These guys do too. While its original purpose is to allow you to filter the air that's in your room so that your Lasko tower fan will provide higher quality air, it also has the added benefit of protecting your fan from any potential dust that will gum up the tower.The issue with these tower fans is that they're not easily user-servicable after a few years of use in a dusty room. You want to be able to dig into the innards of the thing to clean it out, but they're simply not designed to be easily taken apart and cleaned. That's where this filter comes in - you stick it in the back of your tower fan and its mesh-like material has more than enough free area to continue to allow proper airflow in while keeping all the dust and gunk out.That dust and gunk is what causes your fan to fail after a couple years. By using one of these, you will easily extend the life of your fan, especially if you're like me and you use one of these in a dustier environment. Highly recommended.This also works with the Lasko T42950 and its variants (aka the Wind Curve) that's sold here on Amazon. The fit is a bit tighter (very small parts will be missed) but it's still more than enough to protect your fan.

Simple, effective, cheap, reusable. It also protects the fan's internals, and will certainly increase the lifespan if dust is the usual cause of death for your fans (it is for ours).

I have a cat and after just 2 days of using this screen on my new tower fan I can already see all the cat hair it has collected. Thank you screen catcher for catching the cat hair instead of letting it clog my fan! Super easy to install and easy to clean. A little pricey, but it definitely gets the job done. Plus you can clean it and reuse it so really its not a bad investment. I recommend. Especially if you have any shedding family members running free around the house.

After a few weeks of use, you can already see a thin layer of dust that its trapped, so you just take it off the velcro and rinse it and let it dry. Don't run the fan in the meantime just to keep it clean, and once dry then velcro it back on. Comes with 2 velcro strips that have 3m on one side, so you just stick those to the back of the machine and then line up this filter on the velcro.

This filter works very well. It keeps fan pretty much free of dust and hair, which is great because the fan would be difficult to keep clean. I would recommend it.
