Excellent - life-changer!
If I could give 10 stars I would! I bought the high spec 'Life' version and even at what I paid (£349) I think it is crazy value for money and I shall most definitely be renewing again after 12 months. It has provided invaluable data and intelligence, supporting my cardiac issues, sleep management, exercise regime, rest, recovery management eating times and so much more. The user interface and experience is very. Battery life of over a week and quick recharge means I'm never without it (with the clip-on charger you can charge it while using it at the gym etc. I thought my Apple Watch and phone were good, but this is on a totally different level. In my case it's literally a life-changer.

I’ve been using the WHOOP 5.0 for several months now, and it has completely transformed the way I approach recovery, training, and overall wellness. The Sleep and Recovery tracking is incredibly detailed — it doesn’t just track sleep duration, but sleep stages, disturbances, and time spent in bed, giving me actionable insights into how well I’m recovering each night. The strain coach is also a game-changer. Instead of guessing how hard to train, WHOOP gives you real-time data to guide your intensity based on how recovered your body is. One standout feature is the Heart Rate Variability (HRV) tracking and Respiratory Rate monitoring, both of which are critical for detecting fatigue or early signs of illness. The sensor is lightweight and comfortable to wear 24/7 — I forget it’s even there. With no screen, WHOOP keeps distractions away and focuses purely on health data, synced seamlessly through the app. The battery pack design is smart — charging without removing the band is super convenient. I originally gave this 5 stars, but my experience has deteriorated significantly over time. The device now frequently fails to record telemetry accurately and often reports that it is “off body” when it is being worn correctly. Because of this, large gaps appear in the data, which undermines the core purpose of the product. For an activity and health tracker at this price point, reliable data capture is essential, and unfortunately this has not been my experience long-term. As it currently stands, it’s no longer fit for purpose. --- I picked up the WHOOP 5.0 to get a better handle on recovery and day to day strain, and it has been far more useful than I expected. The data is clear, the app is easy to understand, and the coaching prompts actually feel personalised rather than generic tips. Sleep tracking has been especially helpful. It picked up patterns I wouldn’t have noticed on my own. The band itself is light and comfortable. I forget I’m wearing it most of the time. The charging system is clever too. Being able to slide the charger on without taking the band off makes it simple to keep topped up, and the battery genuinely lasts a long time. If you want something focused on lifestyle trends, recovery and daily insights rather than a smartwatch with apps, this is a very solid choice.

Highly recommend to everyone for fitness and health tracking
Excellent product to track health metrics. App is very user friendly and after a day or so you don't realise it is on your wrist. On the pricier side but for the fit, durability and ease of use, I would recommend.

I have had all fitness bands and watches but this one is the only true device that is super accurate with chat gpt Built in the amount of data that you can understand is immense and chat gpt tells you exactly how to sleep train with it it's like having a personal fitness instructor with you 24/7 well worth the money!

The software is awesome however the device is a poor Quality! The parts of the sensor/strap comes apart very easily.

Whoop insights driving good behaviour improving my overall health
Really liking it. Definitely the best software experience out there compared to alternatives. There are still quite a few bugs that need to be ironed out but overall great. Battery life pretty much is on target with 13-14 days with 3 strength workouts a week and daily recorded walks. The metrics do need to calibrate for at least 30 days though to be meaningful so there is some patience. Wish it wasn't a subscription model though...

Potentially great but technically flawed.
I’ve owned this device for 3 months, have type 2 Diabetes and am well versed in how to use data and AI (CDAIO). What follows is my review with the above in mind. Overall - a device brimming with potential but ultimately let down by shoddy technology. I’ve given this 2 stars purely on account of the app and integration with LLM’s/AI - it is that good. I am no stranger to wearables to manage my medical conditions and am used to interrogating data to aid in lifestyle management. The fatal flaw with this is the inaccurate heart rate measurement. All major functions, from daily strain logging to the health span insights (MG) are based on this - feed the AI models bad data, you get bad results. I’ve had instances where my actual bpm are in the high 150’s and the whoop shows 102 - leading to spurious insights and lifestyle tracking. Ive tried the bicep band and all to no avail, the flimsy design just isn’t reliable or consistent. And frankly I shouldn’t have to pay on top of the already steep annual fee just to use this. It’s a real shame as this device could be special, and my advice to the company is focus on the tech versus PR and you’ll be onto a winner.

This wearable is the pioneer in focussing on recovery and sleep. I can understand the concern about the renewal fee, but this truly does give you major results. If you’re not someone who is willing to spend a time every day to input as much as you possibly can into this app, then you will not see the results you want. The more you feed into it the more it can do for you. The strength trainer part is really cool too because it can recommend workouts for you or you can pick your own workouts and put them together in the list. Each workout also has a video to show you how to do it so you can do it at home. If you Journal every day it gives you a real results about how it affects you. Sometimes you don’t realize what foods can actually affect you or how alcohol/coffee can affect you. If you take supplements, you can input them and it’ll show you how it affects your recovery. If you’re someone who likes the gamify things, this can be a real game changer. You get out what you put in. Want to know what a sauna does to your body? Want to know what a cold shower does for your recovery? Want to know how much strain your muscles are specifically going through when you’re lifting weights? Want to know what the best stretch routine routines are for morning and night? It’ll give you everything you want. It’s honestly changed my life.

L’autonomie est vraiment impressionnante : on oublie presque qu’il faut le recharger, et même pendant la charge avec le module sans fil, on ne ressent aucune gêne. Le bracelet est très confortable, il n’entrave pas les mouvements du corps, que ce soit au quotidien ou pendant le sport. L’application est bien pensée, avec une large sélection de questions et de paramètres qui permet un suivi extrêmement personnalisé. On a vraiment l’impression d’avoir un assistant qui prend en compte ce qu’on lui dit pour ajuster ses recommandations et mieux accompagner récupération, sommeil et entraînements au fil du temps
