Amazing product!!!
Love this machine! I should have got a smaller one that doesn’t make as much or need ice and salt to freeze it but that is on me. Machine works great and the freeze time is amazingly fast. I made vanilla ice cream and mint choc chip ice cream and both were delicious. Also made a Prickly Pear Sorbet that turned out fantastic. Easy to clean. Can be a bit cumbersome and difficult to remove lid but that is also on me i think. Easy to use but do read instructions first.Good value for the money as well and will get lots of use especially when it gets really hot here in Arizona. I bought it because i wanted a healthy ice cream and not the crap you find in stores and i refuse to pay $9 for a malt/milkshake or $6 for an ice cream cone as i live in a famous tourist town. And i can make some and share with my friend as well.

great little ice cream freezer
Got this yesterday, put the cups in the freezer and made the following recipe. Today the ice cream from the frig was a bit thick to pour, so spooned it into the little ice cream maker. Within 12 minutes it was perfect, no problems. I love this thing after useing it once. the recipe i used i adjusted as close as possible to the amounts in the recipe book I downloaded from Amazon. Oh, My, delicious. And for me, perfect consistency. Can't wait to make more recipes. The recipe did make more than the 250g max stated in the book, but that ok, will use the extra for a yummy protein shake.

Weeee! Yummy home-made ice cream!
Yuuuumy! and simple to use. Heads up!... I accidentally washed ( not duncked) the Machine part. Its still drying. Im afraid to plug it in. Well, I did not read instructions before. Geeze! So, I used a spoon to stir insted. Note to self...don't use a metal spoon nextime. Lesson learned!

Not a White Mountain, but not bad.
Bought this to replace my very old White Mountain (no longer available) and pretty much received what I expected for this day and time. Quality is good, but the churning paddle is made of plastic and the container is a bit tall and thin so it does take a very long time to make ice cream. First time out it took 55 minutes - I shut it off. The second time took 1 hr and 10 min and it shut itself off. Consistency of ice cream was correct for homemade. I like that it has what I call a bumper for the bottom of the bucket to help keep canister in place. It is stated that it is quiet, not really, but not too bad. Last note: My brother also bought one of these and tried the hand crank. It bent out of place on the first try. Metal is thin.

Works great and great price
Ice cream was frozen to perfection. Easy to put together and easy to prepare the wooden container. I couldn’t find a fill line on the canister but I knew about where it should be. The hand crank didn’t work at first so I haven’t investigated it to see if I had it in wrong.

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money on the 1 pint version. I put the container in the freezer as directed, but even longer, for 48 hours. I poured in vanilla ice cream mixture. I ran the motor and whip attachment for over an hour. After a hour I checked. The ice cream was just the same liquid. It didn’t even freeze on the edges. Total clown show rip off.

Same thing as the wood looking ones
Great item. So what if it's pastel periwinkle and not the wood look one. The wood look one is $35 more for the exact same product. I only want to make 2 quarts at a time anyway. This is a 4 quart device. I also got lots of insulation from ordering Chicago deep dish frozen pizzas. They came dry iced and heavily insulated in a triple wall cardboard box. I will use that for this ice cream maker. Box is big enough insulation is like 2 inch thick carpet padding wrapped in a thick plastic bags. Ought to work great. I like this item.

Good for ice cream, not frozen yogurt.
Well if you want ice cream. It works fine. If you want frozen yogurt it isn't the best option. Easy to clean and operate. Very quiet.
