I was looking for a "clean" one for a long time and tried various brands. 1. Dirty Labs cleans well - which was an important criteria for me. 2. It leaves no residue - I was frustrated when the other brands I tried left residue on plates, glasses and cutlery. This one doesn't. 3. It has no fragrance, which is what I wanted. Yet the dishes comes out without odor issues. 4. It doesn't come in plastic pods - another important criteria since I want less plastic in the environment, and also don't want microplastics as a result of dishwashing. I don't have to worry about microplastics with this detergent. 5. It comes with an easy to measure attractive wooden spoon and paper container that holds perfectly well. Review: I’ve been using Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent + Booster for several weeks now and I’m really impressed. It cleans extremely well — dishes come out spotless with no residue or film, even on baked-on food. I love that it’s fragrance-free and still leaves everything smelling clean, not chemical-heavy. A little goes a long way, and it dissolves perfectly every time. I’ll definitely be repurchasing. Thank you for being made in the US!!

I really like this dishwasher detergent. I like the enzyme cleaning and there is no more smell in my dishwasher. It reminds me of the more expensive Norwex brand. Everything gets clean. Silverware is shiny. Glasses and plates are spot free. I only use a scoop of it. Highly recommend

I’ll be honest—I wasn’t expecting to have strong feelings about a dishwasher detergent. But Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent and Booster surprised me in the best way. It actually works. Like, really works. Greasy plates, baked-on food, cloudy glasses—everything comes out clean without needing to pre-rinse. Even my glassware looks noticeably clearer, and there’s no weird film or residue left behind. What I appreciate most is that it manages to be effective without being harsh. A lot of “clean” or eco-friendly detergents either don’t clean well or leave dishes looking dull. This one somehow avoids both problems. The ingredients feel thoughtful, and it’s nice knowing I’m not washing my dishes with a bunch of aggressive chemicals. The scent is light and fresh, not overpowering, and it doesn’t linger on the dishes—which I love. The powder dissolves easily, and the booster is great for those extra messy loads when the dishwasher needs a little help. Even the packaging feels intentional and simple, which is a small thing but still nice. It doesn’t look out of place sitting on the counter. Overall, this is one of those products you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you use it. Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent and Booster does exactly what it promises, and it does it well. I’ll definitely be sticking with it.

Since Ecover Zero dishwasher tablets are no longer available in the US I’ve been trying to find a replacement. I have fragrance allergies so it needed to be unscented, and I aim for clean products free of harmful chemicals. I’ve tried a couple different ones, found pods with the plastic casing created a haze (Molly’s Suds) on the inside of my dishwasher, some tablets left white residue on my dishes (Seventh Gen, Grab Green and Nellie’s Cubes), and some had super strong chemical smells that made my whole kitchen stink (Nellie’s Cubes). I’m really impressed by this product. It gets things just as clean as Ecover did and with no film/haze in my dishwasher, and no weird smells or tastes on dishes. Glasses are crystal clear. I’ll be sticking with this detergent. All these years later and we’re back where we started; using powder detergent. If it ain’t broke… I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher that’s about 3 years old, and I use Lemi-Shine rinse aid. I find it easiest to set the tin cup with the spoon in it on top of the lid. It sits perfectly in the recessed area. (pro tip: get the water from the sink running hot before starting the dishwasher)
