Works well, miss the volume control that was on the original, but just couldn’t pay that much.

No battery and no instructions for which type of battery it uses. So it is useless

Use a CR2032 battery. I bought this to replace a touch pad remote and it worked instantly.

I do not recommend this remote. It comes with no instructions, no battery, just a remote. I had a battery here for my doorbell, so I put it in and tried to pair it with my Apple TV. First step: hold the ⬆️ Button until the Apple TV finds it. Nothing. Reinstalled the battery, nothing. Maybe it would work if there were instructions. Will it light up if it’s working? Nothing. Trash...

Love this remote ! It’s bigger and much easier to hold than the original one.

Product does not come with instructions. Product does not include a battery. This was stated in very small print at the bottom of the listing. Now I have to go to the store and buy one. These are drawbacks in my opinion. I hope the unit works. It seems cheap.

I'm about to buy this remote for the third time! I have one that works for my Apple TV 2 and I got one for my parents after they commented on the larger size of this remote in comparison to the Apple branded remote. It works great for them and us! Yes, it's lightweight and feels a bit "flimsy" or like it's got nothing inside it ... but it is a fully functional remote. No pairing necessary; just put in the correct battery and use it. I should mention that a battery for this remote is very inexpensive at the dollar store. A bonus: it also works with my Macbook pro!I would love a silicone case for this remote as it is a bit slippery in the hand and falls into the couch if I'm not careful! The Apple TV remote cases sold on Amazon are too small for this remote.

Sure the listing says no battery, and if you read all the comments they say you do not need instructions for setup but for pennies they could add a piece of paper giving battery type and orientation and setup or lack of setup required

This does work however ;-the speed of processing seems slow-The range is not good, needs to be direct path straight line

It works as long as you unpair the old remote from the Apple TV first. Bulkier than expected but I can’t complain :)

I am sure that the remote works well but it was not the correct one for me.
