Did the feature that people complained about - being able to hit someone at close range without aiming at them get fixed?

This is not something that can be fixed we are using safe infrared technology, not direct laser beams, so pin-point accuracy can only be obtained by distance in larger rooms or outdoors, the issue you mentioned hitting an opponent inaccurate is especially with smaller rooms when the infrared signals bounce back from the wall to the target, it may seem as the aiming isn't accurate. Please play with this in bigger area.

Do both the sensors on the gun and the vest work at the same time if the gun sensors are on?

Does the unit beep constantly or can it be set to silent mode?

while the sound cannot be turned off completely, you can change between hi and lo volume by holding the up arrow for a few seconds. It defaults to hi whenever the unit is turned on/off

If I have 5 guns, do you have to play teams? Or could all 5 players play as "every man for themselves"?

There is only four teams available , so two player will have to be on one team if there are 5 players.
