- Glass fusing is a process by which glass is placed into a special kiln and is slowly heated to around 1700 degrees through various firing schedules. Once heated, the glass is slowly lowered in temperature until it anneals, or becomes hard and shiny. During this process, it is common for tiny bubbles in the glass to occasionally form in some pieces. These are completely normal and add to the interest and overall beauty of each piece! Once the kiln is cooled completely, the piece can either be fired again to achieve additional results, or is ready to use! This firing process takes about 14-18 hours from start to finish to complete! It's a lengthy process, but the results are well worth the wait!
