Fixed my railing

What I disliked first of all is that it is a bit larger than I expected. I should have measured my broken one but didn't. That's on me.The larger size did not cause a problem other than it's a bit noticeable but it's fine as far as I'm concerned.It's more heavy duty that what it replaced which is a good thing as it's at the top of the rail and gets more pressure put on it there so that's a good thing.I'm okay with it overall.

I purchased these along with (my original style)  Stanley Hardware V8025 3" Heavy Duty Handrail Bracket in Polished Brass  handrail support brackets.I thought I'd get these since they appeared nicer and were actually less cost with my additional order(s). Anyway, these are much better than my original support brackets. These are strong solid brass and have a nicer polished brass finish. I am very happy with these quality brackets.I will keep the Stanley Hardware V8025 Handrail Brackets if I should need them but, I don't think I will need them for 20 years since I really believe these Ives by Schlage 59A3 Hand Rail Brackets will last at least that long.

These were purchased to replaced brackets that had broken. The quality of these brackets is excellent - much better than the ones that they are replacing. They have survived grandchildren pulling on the banister.

I liked the fact that it was easy to install, very sturdy and looks good.

Sufficiently replaced the old units, but the bracket hold much tighter than what was in place. The peg doesn't fit loosely in the holder, so you can't easily install one side and left the other to install. That first side has to be left a little loose, then tightened once the other end is installed.

The brackets work very well. Just have to mount them carefully and into solid wood behind your sheetrock. Remember, they are meant for support, not leverage and they will hold up fine. Have been in use about 6 months, no problems.

I am glad I was able to purchase the same shape and type of bracket that broke. Because it was screwed into the wall, the new bracket fit perfectly over the previous screws and covered the same shape. I didn't have to repaint around the bracket or fix any black mark from the previous bracket that broke.

Nice finish but the smaller screws are weak.2 screws stripped and one broke off inside the hand rail.
