Oooh the sound quality!! 🎶🎶
These headphones are AMAZING!!! The sound quality is crazy good!! I turned on True Sound and haven’t had to make any other adjustments; mind blowing! The app is flawless and I’ve been using Tidal through the app. The build quality is great! Also had an update once connected to the app. There was no issue with the update as others have mentioned. They are so comfortable, not heavy feeling on my head and the ear cups fit my ears perfectly. I first got the Cambridge P100se, but returned them the same day they were delivered. They were HUGE and too HEAVY. They were also very clunky, and not comfortable. Plus, the build quality was nowhere near as good as these PX7 S3. Wish I could have gotten these on sale to save a little money, but still totally worth the full price!! I’ve had B&O, Bose, Cambridge Audio, headphones and these PX7 S3 are so much better than those. Again, it’s the sound quality and comfort! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! 😎❤️🎶 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Knock your socks off sound, super comfy, high quality build, good ANC
I call myself an audiophile but honestly, just havent found the perfect headphones.... these PX7 S3 are awfully close to perfect. Vs Airpod Max USB-C Sound quality on the APMs are very close to the PX7s and everyone knows these are the market leaders (whether the fruit company cares about them is a different problem). Just incredible sound on the PX7s and weight is so much better, I love my APMs but I slot the PX7s above the APM. Vs Sony XM6 I had last 3 generations of Sonys, 4,5,6s. There are so many things great about the Sonys, especially ANC. However, for me, so disappointed, the biggest 3x issues for me - my ears touch inside the ear cup even after aftermarket pads. I swear my ears are "normal". I cant wear them for this reason alone. I am not a fan of the sound, I know, crazy but the soundstage is so narrow, I dont know how anyone can say the XM6s have amazing sound, its fine, nothing amazing, that tiny driver they use can only do so much, finally, the build. When I turn my head I can hear the plastic creak, sorry for the price I cant recommend them. Vs Bose Ultra 2nd Generation Yes, the Bose have great fit, good build, but tired of Bose shortsighted EQ and limited sound stage and other gimmicks. I returned these because the sound was just not there even after EQ. Bose should try to develop a new driver and not keep reusing the same driver for last 6 years (serious zero innovation). Overall Sound Quality is stellar....just beautiful sound. Great drivers and the improvements with the new amps on each driver, new chipset and improvements on the voicecoils are really noticeable vs the S2es. I wish I could hear the Px8 S2s as reviews say their amazing but the price point I would be afraid to take them on trips. Fit is amazing, zero pressure or comfort issues, ears dont touch inside and the headband is great and clapping force is perfect (I have a big head though so this is saying a lot!). App is great and I have EQd these which is great - would be nice if B&W had a bit more advanced EQ but it achieves what is needed. A few cons - mics could be better on calls but not bad, usable and no one has complained. Would nice if the earcups were just a hair wider and would be nice if there was bit more bass hit/extension. Good job B&W on the S3's! Looking forward to the S4's and continued improvements.

Easy to Listen and Pleasing, but…
I am an audiophile and music is one of my passions in life. I do own a few high end speakers and headphones: Focal Utopia, Focal Bathys, Monolith M1070 Planar, AirPod Pro 2, couple of Bose QC, and Bose NC700 among my current collection, and I’ve tested many more over the years. After reading so many good reviews and seeing people are comparing this against other ordinary headphones, I decided to order one and see how it stands against the Focal Bathys that currently is just a bit more money. The history of the bacterial processed cellulose drivers Bowers used in Px7 intrigued me which are the closest you can get to the legendary Sony MDR-R10 from the 80s that did cost $2500 per pair back then and would be $6500 adjusted in today’s money, so Px7 S3 price is well worth the test! Unboxing and First Impression: Box was easy to open. You get the sliding cover out, remove the bottom of the package perforated paper sealing, and you can remove the top half. Unboxing and holding the headphones all screams quality, and the low profile and smaller size against Bathys made my mouth drooling. Bathys is way bigger. On your head you actually can feel the big size and weight, which is not comfortable for longer use. Px7 S3 is much slimmer and lighter which is amazing. Overall, more comfortable. Connecting to Bluetooth asked to get the app and set up was easy in 3-5 min creating an account. It had 64% battery. Sound Quality: I have mixed feelings. Openness, separation, soundstage, and clarity definitely goes to Focal, but lower end extension, smoothness, noise cancellation, and overall loudness goes to Bowers that has a pleasing profile. I would describe the sound of Bowers as transparent and coherent, and Focal as exciting. If I can have only one pair, I would go with Focal for the better clarity and being better on more tracks, but Bowers is better than most headphones like Sony XM6 and Bose QC Ultra. However, Bowers boominess at times bothers me, and Focal is better with most vocals male or female. Now keep in mind, Bowers has a new 5 band equalizer, and I could mimic Focal’s profile by reversing the V shaped sound of Px7 to some extent by adding +1.5 to band between LO and MID, +3 for MID, and +1.5 for between MID and HI: [0, +1.5, +3, +1.5, 0]. After everything, still more songs sound better on Bathys while some do better on Px7S3. Bathys is like the singer is singing in front of you, and Bowers is like you’re listening to a hi-res recording with more vibrations from your subwoofer. I should mention that Px7S3 can get very loud thanks to new dedicated amps, but it gets distorted. When you increase Focal’s volume, clarity is there but things scream very brightly at you. Neither one is great at highest volumes. Maybe the better comparison is between Bathys and the upcoming Px8 S2 which was mentioned in the users manual, but for the current Px8 (version 1) with carbon fiber drivers, I think Focal has an edge. Conclusion: If you’ve a pair of high-end headphones like Focal Bathys, you don’t need to upgrade for better sound quality. However, if you need like more portability and better ANC, then Bowers Px7 S3 is a good choice with a nice history on the drivers material. It is definitely better than consumer grade headphones like Sony XM6 and Bose QC Ultra. As for me, if I didn’t have three pairs of Bose, I would keep this one for travel and commute and keep the Focal at home. I am just not sure if I need another $500 pair. *** Update Regarding In-Flight ANC: My first air travel with these headphones was a little underwhelming. During takeoff, I kept hearing these horrible pulsating noises, and on air, every time I turned my head towards the window, I heard more humming engine noise. I even had a chance to update the firmware to the latest, but it didn’t help with ANC. I will try again on my return flight again and hopefully I will have a better seat. Update Return Flight: Okay, so the noises are there for ANC. No matter which side of the plane you are sitting, left or right, turning your head to the right will increase the humming noises. So if you are in an F-seat near the window, looking out increases the noise, and if you are on an A-seat, still looking right to the isle will do the same. Must be an uneven microphone array positioning issue that only does this when turning right. Take off noise is still there too. The best way I can describe it is when you roll down the window driving fast on a highway. The same throbbing annoying wind buffeting sound happens during take off.

Ama PX7 S3'den baya memnunum su an icin tabii. Beni tatmin etti.

I purchased a seinnheiser acentum plus a Sony xm6 and now this PX7 S3. Obviously the cheaper option was eliminated in the first trial but I wanted to know if a cheap headphone from a big name company would be a good move. Then comes the Sonys, impeccable ANC (slightly better than the B&W) good not great when it comes to sound even with different 10 band EQ profiles. The XM6 also felt bulkier, weird style with the cups protruding out of my head substantially, people looked at me different on the streets. Well now comes the B&W PX7 S3, low profile so it won't stick out, beautiful design (despite being subjective to the user), amazing build materials with texture, metal and solid buttons. The ear cups has more space so your ears will fit in the cavity instead of being pressed like in the XM6, the drivers are also at an angle so it follows the profile of the ears, ear cups are comfortable and of premium material that are soft but not too compressed against your head. ANC is good but below XM6 BUT remember that the first duty of the headphone is sound AND BOY LET ME TELL YOU, what an amazing experience listening with these. Crisp voices and mid tones, well separated base , great volume. Overall a superior class overall the X6 for sure. 24bit audio over USB C, and Qualcomm codecs for this with the greatest and latest android phones like me. Despite the price believe me those will be a long run kind of headphones.

The sound is really good but they need to improve the ANC as it is less than Sony and Bose. Also, when you wear it for an hour you will feel discomfort.

Fazit: Perfekt. Meiner! :-)
