Oh my wife loved it. I think it has great built in speakers and great cameras (no auto AI enhancements at the camera app - pure image) other than that it had the latest chip as it is a flagship. It feels premium in hand imo, and we bought the 256gb one but they sent us a 512gb one! So that was really kind of theirs, I thank the people whomever they are. But I don't think this specific Sony phone deserves a whopping £1000+, that's all I'm saying. It's not that I don't like the phone or anything but even iPhone pro max elite diamond plus fancy thingy doesn't cost that much and they are probably better idk

This is an excellent phone when compared with other manufacturers phones. This replaces my old Sony phone. They make top of the range electronic products. We have two Sony TVs which provide perfect picture quality, which are totally reliable as are phones. Ok

I discovered, the day after purchase, that the phone is subject to a replacement program because of manufacturing issues. Search Google for "Xperia 1 VII Smartphone Power Issues - Free Replacement Programme Announcement" to find this. I am thus left with a phone that is highly likely to "brick" in the next month or so (other users have reported this). I recommend not purchasing this phone until Sony have found all the defective phones, and Amazon are sure they are not selling a defective phone. They can know by IMEI number. I deliberately purchased from Amazon to avoid quality-control problems like this, but no luck for me. The phone itself works so far. It's a great device. Bit annoyed that the wide-angle camera is not as good as Samsung's, and there's no wifi sharing. But the sound quality is amazing, and the phone is very fast. Battery seems great, is it value for £1400? No. Clearly not given the replacement programme means I won't see it for a while (how long, even Sony cannot answer).

I love Sony products and wanted this phone but waited until they were released after the recall of faulty phones, but unfortunately Amazon sold me an old faulty one that kept turning off especially when charging, wasn't happy about spending £1400 on a faulty phone and also not getting a charger including but apart from all that if I can get a working model I would still buy one

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren wirklich alles ausprobiert. Man lässt sich so leicht vom Hype blenden – man schielt auf riesige 6.500 mAh Akkus bei asiatischen Importen wie Vivo oder bestellt in Gedanken schon das nächste wuchtige iPhone Pro Max. Man jagt diesem Dopamin-Kick hinterher, unbedingt "das Beste" auf dem Papier haben zu wollen. Aber die Realität ist: Am Ende des Tages kochen alle nur mit Wasser, und wenn ich ganz objektiv alle aktuellen Flaggschiffe nebeneinanderlege, greife ich immer wieder zum Sony Xperia. Warum? Weil es kein anderes Gerät gibt, das dieses Maß an Understatement und Design bietet. Design & Handling: Es ist schlichtweg das handlichste Flaggschiff auf dem Markt. Kein riesiger, klobiger Kamera-Kreis, der die Rückseite dominiert, kein unnötiges Gewicht, das die Hosentasche nach unten zieht. Das cleane, monolithische Design mit dem neuen, alltagstauglicheren Displayformat passt perfekt zu einem minimalistischen, funktionalen Stil. Es ist ein echtes Werkzeug und fühlt sich in der Hand einfach fantastisch an. Software & Performance: Das Gerät ist unfassbar schnell. Was ich an Sony liebe: Die Software ist super clean. Keine überladenen Benutzeroberflächen, keine doppelten Galerie-Apps, die im Hintergrund um die Metadaten der Bilder kämpfen. Es funktioniert einfach reibungslos und ohne unnötige Reibung im Alltag. Kamera & Multimedia: Ich war anfangs skeptisch, aber die Kamera ist viel besser, als ich sie im Vorfeld gemacht habe. Wer den Look echter Kameras (wie der Sony Alpha Serie) mag, wird das Xperia lieben. Besonders das Vivid-Farbprofil liefert direkt aus der Hosentasche unfassbar knackige, schöne Ergebnisse, die Erinnerungen genau so festhalten, wie sie sich angefühlt haben. Die Lautsprecher sind wunderbar ausbalanciert und klingen nicht schrill, was den Multimedia-Genuss auf dem ununterbrochenen Display (nach wie vor ohne nerviges Kameraloch!) abrundet. Akku: Das aggressive Akku-Management von Sony leistet ganze Arbeit. Nach über 30 Stunden abseits der Steckdose und knapp 8 Stunden aktiver Displaynutzung hatte ich immer noch Reserven. Ein absolut verlässlicher Begleiter für lange Tage. Fazit: Das Xperia 1 VII schreit nicht nach Aufmerksamkeit. Es ist kein klobiges Spec-Monster, das mit absurden Zahlen um sich wirft. Es ist für Leute, die wissen, was sie wollen: Ein pfeilschnelles, wunderschönes, handliches und extrem durchdachtes High-End-Gerät. Wer einmal die Ergonomie und die cleane Sony-Philosophie zu schätzen gelernt hat, kommt immer wieder hierhin zurück. Absolute Kaufempfehlung. Jetzt hoffe ich darauf, dass Sony noch ein wenig von googles Material you expressive aufgreift, an dem Design festhält, vielleicht den Vibrationsmotor nochmal etwas überarbeitet und die Front- sowie Telekamera beim nächsten Modell upgradet. 🙏
