Military Spec Anorak Smock

Got a Large fitting i’m 5’10” 15 stone 44 inch chest this was quite a generous fitting enough for a thick jumper. Cant grumble about the quality for the price. Quite thick like heavy wax material. Im happy.

These are good for the price. They seem well made and the fabric is heavy poly’ cotton (best proofed with a product such as Nikwax or similar) The fit is roomy with plenty of space for a fleece or jumper underneath. My only grumble is that they are just too short. I am only average height but I could do with it being with at least an extra two or three inches long; as any fleece or shirt hangs out of the bottom by a couple of inches and gets wet.

Ok - this coton blended smock and the price/name didn't leave me with impression of it being a great item - but I bought it anticipating good at most. Although I read the reviews, some were bereft of detail. Let me give you my impression.First off, I have worn military smocks and jackets for years, and I wanted something that I could take out with me on a work trip that wasn't military looking but appropriate for the work I am involved with sometimes. The Tan smock fit the bill. It has classic cut and single large front pocket without unnecessary velcro loops on the arms or pen pockets. Simple. The stitching appears to better than I would anticipate for a commercial item too so, very impressed there.I have worn this now for about 6 weeks. It has no thermal properties but the fabric is enough to windbreak, so unless it is cold, it is enough to keep the chill out. I bought the XL as, in recent years, I have indulged upon the waist expansion programme (rather successfully). It fits as expected and I can still wear a winter jumper with enough movement to be flexible. Arm lengths are spot on too.It is water resistent but not water proof. I think I will probably water proof it. I am not sure how this will affect breathability but, the design allows for air movement from the bottom and out through the top, so unless you are too constricted, I think this will be OK. I cannot mark it down in that regard because it is a cotton/poly blend.I really liked the draw cords using string and not elasticated cord. Means it will be easy to repair if I ever need to. Although it could benefit with more cordage so that a tighter/looser cinge can be made but again, this a small matter.The hood is comfortable and not too large but will accommodate a hat. I don't like hoods in general because they block sound and peripheral vision, but the option is great and I like too how it isn't hidden and thin but just the same material hanging casually ready. It looks great and is comfortable.I am very happy with this purchase and have been using through the winter. I like it is light weight and I like the canvas feel of the material - suitable for travelling, sport, dog walking etc. Maybe inappropriate for a night at the theatre or opera but, I haven't been ever - so, it doesn't really matter. This is an everyday/anyday smock that you can throw on/off.Material: I know it can stain easily but actually, I am not worried about that because this smock has character and I think marks will give it a history.Unlike many clothes made commercially today, that we dispose of and never use, this is a great item that I believe can last a number of years.The price is excellent and an unexpected value. I like the simplicity of it and I will prefer this over many other higher priced jackets out there.I would happily recommend. You only need one as this will last if you choose to use it/take care of it. One of my few purchases that I feel I got excellent and better than expected return for my money.

Excellent quality jacket for the price. It’s made from a heavy duty cotton blend which should wear very well. Fit is as described and is loose enough to accommodate layers without being too baggy. I’ve washed it in a tech wash waterproofing product which hopefully will improve its “showerproof” qualities, but probably not the jacket to wear in a downpour!

The coat is of good quality material and appears to be finished well enough but I suspect not water resistant. My only major issue is the size, I ordered a large which I hoped would offer some protection to my rear end, ( I am 5'6" so not a giant by any means), unfortunately the coat barely reaches my waist so won't offer much in the way of protection unless weather resistant trousers are worn.Decent product for the money but the sizing issue needs addressing, would I buy again...no, pay the extra money and buy better quality!

I think that this is a superb jacket and the price is a complete bargain. The material is a heavy cotton that is naturally shower proof but breathes nicely, is comfortable and quiet to wear and looks great. I'm 6'3" and about 15st and bought the XL which is a good fit with room for a couple of layers underneath if required. I find the length of the jacket absolutely fine but I do take other reviewers comments about a slightly longer, scooped back. To be honest, I'll buy another one if the manufacturer makes this change but its no issue at all.My only slight negative is with the neck closure - its velcro but personally, would have loved a zip. For this price, I might look at getting one sewn in myself.All in all, a fantastic 3 season jacket for outdoor activity and highly recommended.

Pour le prix, je ne m'y attendais pas, c'est costaud et bien chaud. Un peu ample pour moi en L ( 1m80/70kg ) mais on peut ajuster les manches et le bas de l'anorak. Je suis ravi.

Material resistente. El diseño bueno y cómodo. Las costuras torcidas y con hilo de muy baja calidad que reduce su resistencia.
