Lundberg Organic Brown Rice Cakes, Lightly Salted, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Healthy Snacks, 8.5 Oz

These brown rice cakes are are so hearty and delicious. In the past, my familiarity with rice cakes was limited to the apple/cinnamon ones I used to snack on in college. In search for a less filling and healthier alternative to 2 x slices of bread for a sandwich, I went on a hunt for an alternative and came across these. These really do the trick! Often times now instead of 2 x slices of bread, I have a single brown rice cake and turn it into an open faced sandwich. I put a little shaved rotisserie chicken from the deli and sometimes the tiniest spread of muffaleta olive mix. It's just enough to have for lunch with a few carrots or a pickle, etc. It's filling without giving you that "heavy....I desperately need a nap, but have to go back to work" feeling. I've also spread a small amount of almond butter on one to have for breakfast with a little greek yogurt on the side. The flavor is good and the texture is hearty. The ends of the round kind of start to crumble a bit, but not enough to matter or to impact what you're eating. I think if you like nutty/grainy breads (or brown rice), you would have no challenge eating these. Some healthier alternatives taste like cardboard, but it's not the case with these at all. I'd highly recommend them!

Good taste but too thin so they crumble

We have used these for years in our family. My 4 kids eat them for snacks. Sometimes they put nut butters or honey on top. My 6 year old loves them for breakfast. I love that they're organic and from a high quality company that cares about the planet. I trust the Lundberg name. If you've never seen their video of saving the duck eggs that are laid in their rice fields, look it up.

It was a little stale.

I really like these. They're organic and brown rice is a whole grain so in addition to being quite tasty they are also a healthy food. I like 'em best with some peanut butter however I often eat them right out of the bag. I've purchased 5 or 6 of these so far and I'll be purchasing them regularly in the future.

The product itself is great however the shipping method used destroyed all the rice cakes. I guess this is not a great product to ship in a plastic bag.
