I needed to replace my existing salt system. I have had the major manufacturer for many many years- and was happy with them but couldn’t resist the cost savings of this unit.The generator cell was a drop in replacement, the control panel was a little smaller- but had identical components inside- except this one had a muffin style cooling fan. It really appears as if this unit was made by the other manufacturer maybe under a private labeling agreement.The salt reading (first number to display) took a day to normalize- but it started generating right away.For some reason this unit has a wider operating range than my original equipment. Don’t know if this is unique or if the original manufacturer also increased their operating range.If you are hesitant to buy this lower cost alternative- don’t be.

Why didn’t it come with a power cord? Obviously it needs power to run but yet it didn’t come with a power cord and I had to make another purchase.

Easy diy, took about 2 hours. You will need a few supplies from the hardware store, wire, conduit, etc. Took a few days to get the run time and percentage right but it's working great now. Do yourself a favor and but this instead of adding liquid chlorine everyday.

I don't know if this works yet, as there's no green ground screw, as opposed to what the directions say. It says it's "located on the inside wall of the enclosure." Clearly, that's not the case. If they give an answer, I'll update this.

Our pool water now has a slightly salty taste, which is way better than the chlorinated flavor on your lips. Water seems clearer and it's a good bit easier to maintain. We like it.

System is great...if you want to replace it frequently. Bought in 2019 and had to warranty replace immediately. Second system lasted 3 years before it died. System thinks my salt level is low, but standard tests show it is in range...but there is no way to change it on the box. In the 3 years I had the system, had to check every day to make sure it was working.
